You know they say "it's a business" about the NBA...

GM's can trade players like cards .. so why can't players go where they want ?

Well in this case it's the Heat, and Lebron.. so much for "celtics pride" .

In my book this would be a b*tch move by Ray and to be honest I've grown to hate him throughout this season, total waste not to trade him.

Should have moved him even for a 2nd rounder.

I know he's been surrounded by rumours the last few years and especially this year and his "rifts" with Rondo. But what a b*tch move it would be to go to the Heat.

why can't he go back to being this kid again ...
not that it matters to me anymore.. good riddance

If Ray went to Miami, it would suck but you can't blame him. It is the team that is a reliable 3 point threat away from blowing out teams

Chalmers,Ray,Wade,Lebron,Bosh
Wade,Ray,Battier,LeBron,Bosh
Wade,Ray,Lebron,Bosh,Haslem

Those 4 quarter lineups would be ideal where Ray could be the 4th or 5th option and be caught open at the 3 point line

Miller and Jones and at times Battier haven't been consistent enough to be a threat beyond the arc

Also, Eddie House went to Miami for same reason. I wouldn't be a fan of the move, but it makes logical sense minus adequate playing time

IF he does, I'd rather we find a way to draft Austin Rivers and/or plug in Michael Redd, 5 years younger legs and can do just as much damage off screens
Can't stop, Rondo!

If Boston decide they don't want, Ray is free to move anywhere he wants to without judgment in my book.

If Boston wants to keep him and makes a competitive offer, and, still Ray chooses to go to the team's biggest rival, that would be highly irksome.

I really have a hard time believing he goes to Miami.

Even if they amnesty Mike Miller, they are still way over the cap.  Furthermore, unless they want Wade to play the 1 or LeBron to play the 4, Ray won't start there.

Sure he could win a title there, but it'd be as a role player at, at best, the new reduced MLE.  Is that really what he wants?

You can hate him even more when he goes to a contender and we get squat for him.  Trading him for a second rounder at the deadline would have dumb even though it would have made you happy.

Yeah, even though it would give a lot of us heartburn to see Ray with the Heat, we can't rightly be mad at him if DA/C's choose not to bring him back.  I get the feeling that if all things are equal, Ray would probably choose to be back with the C's.

Let's see what DA does before we get so mad at RA.  He played through some painful injuries for us this year in the playoffs and did his part.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
You hate him for unconfirmed rumors and have basically called him a b**** for getting upset when the team he loved tried to trade him. You hold him to standards I doubt you would live by yourself. Your post is a joke. Guys like you are why guys like LeBron aren't wrong for leaving their teams. You only love the player when he can do something for you, but once he starts thinking about himself all of a sudden he's a jerk. What a joke.

It would be business.  I'd thank him for his time and wish him well.

It wouldn't be business....It'd be stupid.  Miami is the team who can pay him the least.

I don't think, after playing in a relatively stable organization, that he'd want to play with 2 of the biggest divas in the game, anyway.

I'll miss that shot and his work ethic and so will DA, Doc and his teammates.

But as long as he stays away from the non-Clipper team from California, I'll respect his decision.

Ray wants to be a starter, he would never start for the Heat..but if he does decide to go there then so be it. He deserves the right to play for the team he wants to.

  • You say when......
I sat it would be unfortunate...but it is both a business and a sport...and Ray never tanked anything while here...so, going where he thinks is best for him is the way it is....
