Bill Simmons appeared on ESPN First Take and was confident Ray was leaving the Celtics
Said "Oh please, Ray is gone. Did you see at the end of game 7 when they lost congratulating the Heat? He was basically handing out his resume"

what does bill simmons know though??

I think in the end Ray ends up in Boston...if Boston brings back KG he isnt going to want to bolt..especially when the C's can offer him more money than other teams

I think this website has quite a few posters that know more about the Celts than Simmons.

If KG comes back and we decide to make one last run, then Ray leaving for Miami is the same as Johnny Damon leaving for the Yankees in my eyes. Imagine how you would feel whie Ray is sticking daggers in us during the ECF next year. I wouldn't consider putting #20 in the rafters if he left us to join the enemy. Sorry if this seems harsh but things like this just don't sit well with me. Any team besides the Heat and the Lakers!

Simmons said the Celtics already have Avery Bradley to take his spot. And that Ray doesn't want to play on the bench and would probably offer too much money

Not siding with Simmons, but its another perspective on the issue

What has Johnny Damon done since he left the Red Sox? This is about the future, not the past. Sell high.

Ray can go anywhere as far as I'm concerned. He'll probably get hurt two weeks before the playoffs.

Caveat emptor.

The average guy on the street knows more than Simmons.

How spot on I was when I made this thread.

All the ones hated on me and defended benedict allen, lol.

Anyone who's upset about being promoted to the bench, then goes to play the miami bench, it's a b*tch move 10 times out of 10 IMO.

He's b*tch made Allen.

And to turn away from 6 million X 3=18 million and accepts miamis 9 million offer, MAKES TOTAL SENSE !

Oh and in before someone defends allen saying the celtics "only" offered 6x2!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDD RIDDANCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
