I want to see LeBron try to toss around Royce.   It's not going to happen White will bounce him off him.

Bron (i.e. the refs) will foul White out so fast you miss it if you blink.

This Royce kid seems to have a good head on his shoulders.  Him and nicholson, moultrie, harkless would be great.

The opposite. Kicked out of school for theft and pretty much torched all bridges on his way out. Good interviews are doing a bit to mitigate the damage his actions have done, not a "good guy" by any stretch.

He was also 19 at the time. KG was arrested for lynching at 18. People make mistakes. To condemn him as a bad guy would be a mistake. His biggest issue is his anxiety, which he's taking medication for, and supposedly has gotten under control.

All I could say is poor Doc....he had to manage these difficult personalities...

im not sure if anyone has considered this (it might be in another thread), but given where we are drafting, would any worthwhile pgs be available?

i absolutely agree we need to draft 1 big man, but the other big thing that killed us was whenever rondo had to go to the bench. as much as i love seeing him play 48 min a night, not sure that should be our plan going forward (dooling is not a legitimate backup pg).

Well at least Marbury didn't eat glue on Doc's watch.  ;)

I like Nicholson too.  Would be nice to see a Moultrie or a Jones drop.  I would really like to see two big, athletic forwards added to the roster.

The KG thing is completely different, that was case of racism and discrimination.  He wasn't at fault at all.

That being said, White does have medical issues and is getting/gotten help so I wouldn't [dang] him.  He's also young.

To me, very worth the gamble with two picks.

Wasn't it two different theft incidents--one at a mall where he shoved a security guard and one of a computer in a dorm room?

I'd like Danny to move up for a center--Drummond, Leonard or Zeller--or grab Miller or Harkless to go with that athletic forward.

just get us a SF and PF out of this draft and then ACTUALLY PLAY THEM. no more of stashing guys on the bench for a year or 2 (ala bradley, JJJ, moore) we need young guys that can play big minutes ASAP

Still don't get what people love about Royce White. I see "tweener deluxe". Can't shoot his way out of a paper bag. He's not gonna be able to out-muscle people at the next level like he did in the Big 12. He is certainly gonna have problems shooting over them. Jack of all trades, master of none. Would rather we take Jeff Taylor with Nicholson.

I disagree with you on this. I don't think he's a jack of all trades- quite the opposite. He can't shoot or play defense. He is a master, however, of handling the ball, driving to the basket, kicking out, and rebounding. I actually do think he will outmuscle people in the NBA. He's the most powerfully built player to come out of the draft since Blake Griffin, and he may also be the most aggressive player in this year's draft.

Agreed... no matter what you say about White, he certainly won't get outmuscled in the NBA. There are few players built like him in the league right now.  He and Sullinger are similar in that regard.

That's fine that he won't get out-muscled. But he seems to be very slow laterally on defense(not good in a Doc Rivers system) so if they don't go through him, they'll just go around him. And what good is his ballhandling ability. Rondo dominates the ball here and the few times he doesn't Paul does. His skills are a non-fit for this team.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Not sure how much I'd want to give up for Leanard. While Im a big fan, he has some serious bust potential

It would be harder for him to do it to a 270 guy though.   I mean the fouls would get called but he is going to risk injury against a bulky forward.   Presently he is the guy built like a tank,  he may not be so eager to bang with someone who can hurt him.   I do not think he really has anyone at SF who can do that now.

Kids make mistakes especially the ones without proper guidence.

White is a good fit for this team, he could help eleviate ball handling issues when Rondo is on the bench. And yes he handles the ball that well.

He looks like Chris Paul when dribbling low as he makes his move and again like paul when he breaks the defense down and passes to the open man.

And yes he would kill LJames in the post along with most others.
