I like Nicholson too.  Would be nice to see a Moultrie or a Jones drop.  I would really like to see two big, athletic forwards added to the roster.

I'd like Danny to move up for a center--Drummond, Leonard or Zeller--or grab Miller or Harkless to go with that athletic forward.

Not sure how much I'd want to give up for Leanard. While Im a big fan, he has some serious bust potential

Why do you say that?

im not sure if anyone has considered this (it might be in another thread), but given where we are drafting, would any worthwhile pgs be available?

i absolutely agree we need to draft 1 big man, but the other big thing that killed us was whenever rondo had to go to the bench. as much as i love seeing him play 48 min a night, not sure that should be our plan going forward (dooling is not a legitimate backup pg).

If we were interested in a PG AND are willing to take on a 'project' (Like Royce White) - I'd take the guy right behind White on Ford's list:  Tony Wroten

Wroten is a wicked fast and aggressive young PG (freshman) with a lot of upside potential.  Not a great shooter yet, but great court vision and makes dynamic passes.  Too aggressive at times and turns the ball over a bit too much, but that's probably an experience/maturity thing.   Yep, he's like a baby Rondo.   Only he's much taller at 6' 6".

Wroten is one of those players who polarizes folks (like Rondo did, like Royce White does).  Some see his potential and are mock drafting him as high as the late teens, others are frightened of his aggressive style of play and have him in the early second round.

I'm not advocating we take him.  I want big men.  I find him intriguing though.  He probably has more upside than a lot of players who will be picked ahead of him.

I'm not completely buying Ford's rankings.

I don't think Portland would take Lillard over a big man, not even as a 'asset' pick unless they could deal him right away.  I think a few of the bigs lower on that list have more value as 'assets' and they need a big man anyway.

Nicholson is okay, but I'd really love it if we could get our hands on a 7 footer.  I would prefer a Jones or Moultrie if they fell to us.  If not, I think I'd rather go with Fab's sheer size and defense over Nicholson.  Nicholson's offensive skills are impressive, but he's been playing sort of big-fish-in-a-small-pond at St. Bonaventure.  I'm not sure I trust how that will translate in the NBA.

I find Royce White intriguing, but I'm not sure he's a great fit for the C's.  We have a stellar facilitator already.  We need a finisher/scorer at that position and unless White vastly improved his shooting I just don't see him as a great pairing with Rondo.

I really don't get Ford dropping Quincy Miller completely out of the 1st round.

Rondo is great ,but he gets tired. We haven't had a reliable backup PG or play maker off the bench since the big 4 era began . The only other player on the team that can run the offense when Rondo is out is PP and he is only going to get older and slower over the next few year. White would bring some much needed skills and toughness to the C's IMO.

I'm afraid that White might become "Employee Number 8," 2.0.

If we got a pick that late to duplicate what Walker brought us...

It'd be a steal.

Remind me what he brought the Celtics, again?

Bron (i.e. the refs) will foul White out so fast you miss it if you blink.

It would be harder for him to do it to a 270 guy though.   I mean the fouls would get called but he is going to risk injury against a bulky forward.   Presently he is the guy built like a tank,  he may not be so eager to bang with someone who can hurt him.   I do not think he really has anyone at SF who can do that now.
I don't see that as an impediment to Lebron at all and if anything, the refs will blow whistles quicker to keep any really injuries/pain from being inflicted on Bron.
