Thought this was worth passing along:

I think Garnett would be a great fit for the Spurs but I can't see him leaving Boston if he doesn't retire.

Good point.  It was the sarcastic way you responded that really drove the point home too.  ::)

Anyway, I could definitely envision Garnett in a Spurs uniform.  I think he would fit in really nicely with the culture they have over there.  If KG does continue his career and looks at options outside of the C's I could picture the Spurs being high on his list.  I don't think it will happen but it's an interesting prospect to wrap your head around.

it's time to let KG go.
the team will be better off without him
delaying our development.

Both Duncan and KG would love to finally have another big with good length and defensive instincts to help them out.

I have heard a number of times that Duncan really doesn't like KG though.  I guess that could change if they teamed up, but i dunno.
Don't think KG is going anywhere but the C's next year if he plays.  Too much invested in Boston, and the culture around our team.  For him, more than a lot of other players, it would be a hard transition to make.

I think every team in the NBA would be interested in KG if he wanted to play next season.

Would be spectacular this duet, best froncourt ever, KG and TD, but I think if KG to play next year only would be in Boston Celtics.

Ainge must resign KG and Ray.

I can't think of a single team in the league that wouldn't be better with KG.

There is no report to the effect that the Spurs are interested in Garnett.

A blogger in San Antonio wrote a column saying that Garnett is a free agent and it would be awesome if the Spurs put Garnett and Duncan together. Not only is there no source, the blog doesn't actually even insinuate that the Spurs are interested.

It is a non-story. ESPN rumors picked it up, WEEI passed it along as a story, but it is no more a story than any of our posts on this message board.

Who is the "our" in your statement? The team as a whole?

Garnett has refashioned the franchise in his own image. Look at the team's chemistry and culture this season. The team won (probably more than it should have) thanks to hard work, selflessness, and determination, with Garnett leading the way.

If you're worried about player development, I would think you'd want KG in that locker room until he's 65.

Develop who? this team was game away from reaching the finals. Anyways I wouldn't blame KG if he joins forces with Timmy. Spurs were one big man short this year.

I would love to see Garnett and Duncan on the same team.  It'd be amazing...Even at their ages to see two BB IQs off the charts on the same team.  They'd be great under either coach.

I doubt Danny resigns Allen.

spurs interested in kg... celtics interested in danny green... that could be a foreshadowing (though im not a huge fan of that one)..
