Pierce was about to be traded to the nets for a top 3 protected draft pick at the deadline but pierces agent blocked the deal according to Broussard.
Haven't we also heard New Jersey wanted Wallace more. I'd be curious to know what really happened there. If Paul's agent did block it, Id imagine it'd be [dang] near impossible to trade him.
Agents have too much power..
His agent blocking the deal is the only thing that makes sense because there is no way in the world any team [even the Nets] could opt for Wallace over Pierce.
I can see them wanting an expiring contract in Wallace (don't specifically remember what NJ traded) but that move probably didn't make Deron Williams any more interested in staying.
But I gotta say, even though Pierce has the potential to hold Danny hostage, demanding not to leave is refreshing compared to what normally happens when a team has a player holding them hostage and demanding out immediately.
