The more I know about this kid the more I think he was born to be a Celtic. Tough defender, great 3pt shooter, a leader in the court, right mindset... and his uncle Martinez was drafted by the Celtics in 1973.
Chad Ford had a nice tweet when he saw him in person last month:

Marcus Denmon looks good in second group. There's a toughness there. Being a leader. Hitting shots. Hustling. Scouts think he's underrated.

Look what he did in that awesome Kansas game. He's one of the most efficient players in college basketball. I just think he would fit in perfectly in our culture and type of game - a tough and efficient shooting guard.

If we make it out of the first round without a guard, I'd be okay with him in the 2nd. My only concern is that this seems to be a very deep draft in terms of sharpshooters, and many of them are better options than Denmon. I'd rather try and grab Kevin Murphy even if we had to move up in the second. Otherwise, I'd like a big man or guy to stash in the second round. We might not have room for a third rookie, so a Euro to stash would be nice.

The thing with Denmon is that he can be a good defender AND an efficient scorer. That's what you want from your backup PG/SG, playing behind Rondo and Avery. Denmon shot 40%, 45% and 40% from 3pt range in his last three seasons at Missouri, and was always very efficient and clutch.

I also like the fact that Red Auerbach drafted his uncle in 1973   :)

So is Danny going to end up with a redo of his last year's Boilermaker picks?

I like the kids toughness.
But i just dont know how good of a Point Guard he is.
Wouldnt be disappointed if we picked him in the second round.
Jack of all trades, master of none.

Yeah, mid-second round is his place in this draft. But I really like Denmon's mindset and work ethic.
At the Combine I was also impressed by Doron Lamb's shooting and confidence. The guy will find a place in the NBA.

I think we need an efficient shooter to play alongside Rondo. What about Doron Lamb?
A guy that shoots 46% and 48% from 3pt in two seasons at Kentucky (and scores 22 at the championship game) must be really good!
