Why didn't we punishing them with size?  Where was Steamsa?

The problem is not not playing with size, the problem is when we go 1 big, it can't be Bass.

The problem with Stiems is that he's awful at the pick and roll defense right now, and when he's in there, they kill us from 3s, particularly Battier from the corner.

When Miami goes small they take apart Greg forcing him to foul.

How do you want to punish them with size?  Stiemsma isos or Hollins isos?

If we had a player capable of punishing the Heat with size, I'd agree.  Unfortunately, I don't have much hope for any of our bench bigs.

Does Stiemsma really foul that much? I think he just gets no respect from refs (unfortunately).

To me it's become obvious that the offense is too one dimensional. When the jumpshots are not falling, KG, Pierce and Rondo have to create.

Too bad it's a bit too late now for Sasha to play major minutes. He can cut to the basket a little. So can Quisey.

If they're calling them it doesn't matter, when he's been on the court this series the Heat get free throws on him (and the C's are in the penalty quick).

Stiemsma had one weak defensive series and was yanked. His shot blocking and offense could be used if he wasn't so slow on the perimeter. Hollins has better mobility; but not the offensive threat. Maybe Sean Williams is the answer!

Nothing to do with refs, he has bad discipline. He always brings his arms down instead of going up right, and he's too slow in the pick and roll at the moment and keeps shoving ball handlers.

I found myself calling for this as well.  We MUST have somebody to protect the rim when Garnett goes to the bench.  Stiemsma can't move and Hollins isn't an NBA playoffs-caliber player.  Give Sean Williams a few minutes.  At best, he alters shots and can clean up the glass.  At worst, he's six hard fouls to put LBJ and Wade on the floor a few times.  But our defense is just a layup drill when Garnett is on the bench, and we have to find a way to rectify that.

He's also slow footed and slow reacting compared to KG/Bass.

Puts himself behind against the quickness of Miami's guards/forwards.
