The game swung when Ray didnt hit that 3 to put us up by 7 and on the james put back.  We had our chances

Yeah. We also had our chances when rondo got smacked.

We also had our chances when we played good d and wad kicked his way to the line.

We played about as good as any team and the game was stolen period.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

That's true however you can't sit here and say Haslem even should have been at the line in OT. The non call on Rondo changed the whole game

I'm done watching NBA basketball, that was the most disgusting thing I've ever witnessed.

And he did finish...

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Game 1 was iffy and the Celtics really didn't do much in the second half, but I believe they outplayed the Heat in this one. Too bad it had to come down to one really bad non-call and another very questionnable foul call on KG. It would have also been nice to have Pierce.

Refs help the HEAT again.   I would be ashamed to win like they do.

I for one am boycotting the games in my house once we are done in protest.  It won't hurt them much but I did it last year too.   I might tune in on the fourth quarter of game four to see the HEAT lose to the Spurs though.

Is it just me or is Hasleem pawning Bass?

NBA it's Scamtastic!

Refs made sure C's did not have Pierce.

Would it be too much to use Sean Williams to maybe nudge Joey Crawford or any of the other corrupt officials into the front row...I mean its not like they use him anyways

PS: What was the line on this game tonight...curious

That was a 4 point swing as the Heat got a quick bucket because Rondo was down.

I agree with every comment Meadowlark said. How about the 6th foul called on Pierce. Wade should have called for a offensive foul. But when you are the Heat, you are coddled by the NBA. If a Celtic defender gets close to James or Wade a foul is going to be called on the C's. David Stern is the worst commissioner the NBA has ever had.

Stern allows it to go on...hence he's just as guilty as the refs. Why? Because a Heat dynasty = Ratings!!!

stern is not a ref

Stern heads the "league office".  The league office memos refs things to enforce or not enforce prior to games.  You'd have to be naive to think that Stern doesn't have his hand in the officiating, especially considering when certain players aren't on the court or certain teams aren't in the playoffs the ratings plummet.

stern is not a ref

True enough. However, that leaves only two possibilities (unless you believe the refs are not corrupt):

1. Stern told them to do it.
2. Stern is ignoring it.

Either way, the commish is the worst in sports. Personally, I find it hard to believe even he is dumb enough for #2 and there are so many $$$ reasons for #1....it just leaves a bad taste. I grew up on the NBA and loved it. I only got one game a week (pre-cable), sometimes two...so maybe, MAYBE it was this bad then too but it was not so obvious. I do not think so, but maybe. In fact, no..I know it wasn't.

We are just knucklehead fans - there are probably reasons for the refs doing their thing that we do not understand, but I cannot for life of me come up with a good, logical, acceptable reason. Game 1, I think we lose anyway. Tonight, the game was taken away from us. You can ALWAYS go back and say, "if we made this shot or if we stopped that shot" but watching this game, and especially the OT it was so obvious the calls were being used to determine the outcome, it was sickening.

No integrity. At all. It would not surprise me for one minute to see the same thing in the finals because Lebron getting a ring is the ultimate prize for the NBA. The Franchise and the Messiah winning it all will just make next season an even higher hyped season...with more of the same garbage we saw tonight.

Back when I was watching, you had the Celtics-Lakers dynasties. The NBA figured out quick that marquee teams with marquee players make money, give the league credibility and please the fans. After those years, the league suffered a bit because there was a bit of a void. Jordan came along, kicked ratings up again, renewed fan interest in the sport. Now? They have LeBron and Wade on one team, perfect chance to push things up even higher. Grab the kiddies market, cause they love their Bron.

Stuff it Stern.
