What an awful playoff performer.  I don't know if the playoffs got him spooked or what, but he's just not getting it done.  It also seems that he has a low BBIQ.  He looks clueless on the court.  Now we know why Orlando traded him. :(

I don't think it's the playoffs I think it's just a mental block. It looked like he was going to come out of it after that first quarter but then started clanking. It almost seemed like the Rondo/the team were forcing it to him trying to get him to keep shooting but I wish they wouldn't completely do that, just putting more pressure on him.

I don't think it has anything to do with the playoffs though. I think it's much like Ray's free throw shooting. It's in their head and they just need to work through it. It's not like either of them haven't played in big games before.

You know what's sad, I'm thinking you're right. That is before that dimwit decided to pack on the pounds in the middle of the season last year.

  • GOT IT!!!
He's a one trick pony that when misses shots brings very little to the table. He should be tearing up fellow bench players. He has probably cost himself a lot of money with his play as of late.

I don't want to hear it. I think Bass is good for this team. Yes, he missed a lot of shots he shouldn't have, but he is hardly the sole reason for this loss. A lot of Celtics players tonight made some mistakes. KG was pretty much the man again, though. However, we made a number of mistakes. And the fact that Bradley was gone for the 3rd kinda hurt.

I think the original poster's comments aren't predicated on solely his shameful performance tonight. It has really been the entirely of this playoffs with his missed defensive assignments to his overall subpar play on the offensive end.

How many times are defenders going to key in on his dribble hand when he attempts to drive to the basket and cause either a turnover or an out of bounds play?

The thing that bothers me about Bass is that he's way too lackidasical on defense. If your shots not falling thats one thing. But you gotta bring it on defense every second your in the game. Too many times i feel he gives up on plays. If you cant at least lay a hard playoff foul then your no use to us on the court. If you get beat thats one thing but at least try to get back in the play.

Look on the bright side; We'll probably be able to afford him based on his playoff performance.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Bass made some good plays for us in this game, and he was a major part of what gave us the early lead that we had. What happened prior to this is in previous playoff games is irrelevant. It's behind us. We judge Bass based on what comes next, not what happened before. Look at Pietrus tonight, finally starting to hit some shots for us. Bass made some solid plays in this one. He just missed a lot of shots, too.

We either have confidence in this team or we don't. Yes, they threw this game away, but where the next game is is irrelevant to these two teams. One team, I believe, is the superior team, and it will show up regardless of where they play the next game.

Wrong. Every game in the playoffs counts. So his past performances in games are EXTREMELY RELEVANT. If he shows a pattern or tendency to do more harm than good then changes should be made. Period.

Just because we critisize a player doesn't mean we don't have confidence in this team as a whole. It just means quite frankly he's playing sub par basketball and either needs to be sat on the bench, or taken aside and shown that if he's not making shots there's still quite a few more ways you can impact a basketball game. Something tells me they don't teach that type of defensive/basketball philosphy in Orlando. But it's the truth. And right now he's not deserving of the time he's been given so far. It's a privledge to be on the floor. Not a right. He needs to start playing like it or there's guys on that bench who will gladly take his spot and give it their all on both ends of the floor. Ahem (Ryan Hollins)

I like Bass, but his shot has been M.I.A. the entire postseason, and he hasn't had one good game yet.

he'll be a lot cheaper to sign after his playoff performance.

hate to say it but BBD was much better in the playoffs.  not the regular season, but definitely the playoffs.

Agree on all points. Never in a million years did i think we would ever miss that donut muncher. I bet he's eating some sort of pastry as we speak. My money is on cupcakes personally.
