Hats off to the 76ers. Yea, they only won this one due to how sloppy the Celtics were. A drought like that is rare for us even when we're playing bad, but it happened there in the 3rd quarter.

The 76ers were pressured by the Celtics. We gave it our best quarter of the entire game, but the 76ers came up with big plays, and our defense failed to get the necessary stops. The Celtics will take game 3 and then begin righting the ship. The Celtics are still the superior team, one 76ers win won't change that.

Celtics needed a sweep. Giving this away is a joke.

Solely on the shoulders of Doc and Pierce.

Im disappointed. That was a horrible effort in the first three quarters. Did Pierce even play? I hope we start taking this team seriously; otherwise, we won't have any rest IF we get to the ECF.

I would throw Bass in there too.  I think he was even worse than Pierce on both ends.

You're assuming we're just going to stroll into Philly and win two.  I'm hoping we can get a split, which will likely leave us with a long series.

Why anyone would think we could sweep a young, healthy, hungry Sixers team is beyond me. This team is scarier than the Bulls. I personally believed we would drop 2 games to them.

Would have rather lost on the road, but whatever. I'm not seething over this loss.

This loss tonight will come back to bite the C's IMO. Not sure they can win two games in Philly so it will probably take 7 to beat these guys. Team is running on fumes now and are hurt.

C's are getting zero out of Pierce against Philly. Do we really expect this team to beat Miami with this Paul Pierce? May not even win this series.

Yup. It won't be a sweep. Sixers were due to win 1 or 2 of these.

Even great teams have terrible games.

Not that these Celtics are great. None of this year's teams are great. (The Thunder and Spurs come the closest.)

I'd take the 08 Celtics, 09/10 Lakers over any of them.

Forget Iguodala's defense on Pierce.
Forget the fact that Pierce was not involved on the offensive end.

Pierce made horrible passes.
Pierce did not box out on key plays.
Pierce gave up big baskets on show defense.

Too much standing around down the stretch.

This series is clearly in the Sixer's hands.  Philly could be up 2-0.

You can only ride on KG's shoulders for so long.

You're assuming we're getting to the ECF, which frankly, seems increasingly unlikely.

It's no coincidence this Philly team kicked our asses twice in the regular season, and it's no coincidence that this Philly team almost won game 1 and turned out as the victors in game 2.

The Celtics right now are at the losing end in a war of attrition in terms of talent, and, resultantly, are offensively challenged as evidenced by this game.

The Celtics are losing this series in 6 games, sorry to say.

Rondo + Pierce + Bass = 11-for-36 (30.5%)

It's hard to win games when 60% of your starting lineup is throwing up bricks.
