sorry, not boycotting the game on TV.

already boycotting ticket purchases this season due to the team's craptastic play the past couple of seasons where I paid a lot of hard-earned money to see them sleepwalk through spankings at the hands of the Nets, Wizards, Bobcats, Toronto, etc..
Figures the second half of this season was the first time in 3 years they actually played with some effort most of the time.

I love Rondo but not that much. Really it's the playoffs. The Celtics are playing. Paul, KG, Doc and all the other Celtics I support will be there. So I'm not cutting off my nose to spite the NBA. Not that they'll care since I don't have a Nielsen box and I don't even pay for NBATV or league pass anymore. I just go and watch the games with family.

Besides even if I believed in boycotting this is not the appropriate situation for it because Rondo did touch the official and that requires a suspension according to the rules.

Considering that Rondo probably got half the suspension he deserved - a richly deserved game, to be sure - I have zero interest in taking any position in his behalf.

It was a stupid, selfish incident that hurt his team, his coaches and the people who support him.

Rondo deserves what he got. I'll be doing everything I always do with the C's on TV.

Hey coach

you seem like a smart guy. Explain how no one is talking about what happens to this ref on Saturday.

Focus on 2:05 to 2:15

Is that purposeful contact? Was it a bit harder than  anything Rajon did? Yeah just wondering how this all works in the N B A

Wow - thats abolute bull actually

I don't know what to make of that. I mean...its clearly a different context from the Rondo incident. But, it kind of looks like Boozer over-exagerrates his 'stumble' to catch the ref.

I imagine the league looked at it though.

I don't think Boozer's intent was to make contact with the ref.  He was tangled up with another player, and the contact was incidental with the official.

Remember this?

KG actually wasn't suspended for that.  He wasn't suspended for this one, either:

I think the league looks at intent, in terms of whether you're intentionally going after the ref, rather than it being incidental to another altercation, etc.

EXACTLY

The confrontation wasn't between Boozer and the ref.

The confrontation WAS between Rondo and the ref. There's the difference.

I'm going to protest by forgoing my traditional game time Ciobani yogurt and substituting unsalted cashews.

That'll show em.

LOL!!
My ribs hurt now, thanks

Hollow threat by me.  I totally forgot and enjoyed a nice honey flavored Chobani.  Besides we were out of cashews.
Yup

I did. I only paid attention to the 4th quarter. LOL!

Nah, everyone would have gotten a suspension for that except Kobe and LeBron, so it was fair.

I won't watch another Celtics game that Davis is officiating, though
Even they would have been suspended. Rules are pretty straightforward.

I read through some of the game thread after the fact, and it sounds like a lot of folks decided to boycott last night's game some time around the mid way mark of the third quarter.
