I'd rather see Moore play PG than Dooling.. I don't care if he's a rookie!

I totally agree. Moore has proven he can get run the offensive sets and make shots. We really don't need much else. Doc should give Moore a chance and if he's not getting it done bring in Dooling.

Dooling won't be running the offense, even if he's defending the PGs.

Moore would be largely the same, except he's a less proven defender.

Kind of a no brainer I thought.

1.Bradley
2.Pietrus
3.Pierce
4.Bass
5.KG

That's what I'm thinking.  I want to see a Bradley/Pietrus backcourt really make life harder for Teague and Hinrich to get anything started offensively early in the game.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I'd start Dooling. He has a better handle than Pietrus, and that will be needed alongside Bradley.

Let Pietrus provide a break for the 2 and 3 spots as usual.

No matter who starts, the C's are going to come to PLAY on Tuesday. I expect a victory.

I am expecting Dooling to start since Atlanta starts an undersized two guard in Kirk Hinrich at the SG position.

Doc will want to keep Pietrus on the bench since he's the only impact bench player on the perimeter at the moment + he is valuable for matching up against Marvin Williams when Marvin comes into the game.

The other option would be Sasha but I think Dooling gets the nod because of Hinrich. If it was a bigger two guard, Sasha would be the first choice.

I think it's Pietrus. This will save Pierce from defending Johnson, and instead you conserve him for the offensive end, where he will called upon to do a lot.

I don't think it'll be wise to start Dooling because then you don't have many ballhandlers off the bench.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
The more I think about it, Pietrus or Pavlovic is going to start to guard Joe Johnson and let Pierce concentrate on offense.
I think they'll stick Pierce on Hinrich because although Heinrich can get by Pierce, he won't be able to shoot over Pierce and hit 4 threes like he did in game 1.

We need Bradley and Pierce to have monster games and I think they can do it. Get to the line, get their bigs in trouble and they have no depth.

It's going to be Pietrus (unless Ray returns). The fact that you can put him on Johnson (freeing up Pierce) and he is a weapon from the 3 makes him the perfect candidate. Also the argument that we would want to leave him on the bench for scoring isn't too valid I don't think because he relies on others to get him shots so he will be much more useful spoting up in the corner and creating space for Pierce isolations and Pierce/KG or Pierce/Bass pick and rolls.

I don't think the handle really matters much unless they are full court pressing us. It's basically get the ball past half court and hand off to Pierce.

I think Doc has mentioned that a bunch that even Avery knows that's what he's supposed to do

I think you go with whoever is the best team defender and hope the offense takes care of itself with someone having a hot hand.
