I feel a big upset brewing in the playoffs. The Knicks looked primed and ready to beat the Heat in the  playoffs. The Heat have not been playin well, and look worse than last year.  Theres no cohesion on the floor, and they look worn out. I think the Knicks can take advantage of that

The Heat to me have no clear advantage over the Knicks going head to head:

Chalmers vs Baron Davis
Wade vs JR Smith
Lebron vs Carmelo
Bosh vs Amare
Pittman vs Chandler

The only advantage they have is Wade vs Smith, but at the same time Wade would have his hands full guarding Smith. And the Knicks bench to me is 10 times better than the Heat's

The Knicks remind me a lot of the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 Finals, the same team that beat the Heat. Knicks have the same center in Tyson Chandler, an unstoppable closer in Carmelo (just like Dirk), and a multitude of 3 point shooters out on the perimeter just like Dallas

The X factor though, is if Amare and Carmelo can mesh well on the court together. If they can become a dynamite 1-2 punch, I don't see how the Heat can beat them

I dont know why but I like the Knicks in upset mode as well... I think the Knicks match up against the heat well and this is a great way to restart a great rivalry of the past from the Alonzo days. The Knicks depth worries me, but if they can come back to MSG 1-1, they can get in Miami's head pretty easily i think.

As much as i like the Knicks upsetting the Heat, they somehow dont really scare me if we end up playing them however.

The Heat should still probably win, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks came out on top.

Heat in 5.

Didn't other say the same type of things about the Knicks last year before they played the Celtics?

Defense (or, moreso, lack of) will ultimately prove to be the downfall of the Knicks in this series.  Despite what the past month or so has looked like, I still like the Heat here.  I think they were a bit in cruise control mode and not as bad as some are making them out to be.

It'll be a fun one to watch, though.

Me too..... the Heaters are headed straight into the eye of the storm (Knicks) .   The Knicks "WANT" a piece of the CHEAT  , I can just sence it comming. If the Heat somehow weather this storm ...they will be worn to a frazzle doing it.

Cheat are poorly coached by their "PUPPET" , his strings being worked by Riley in the background.  He is a nothing coach,  simple mild mannored nerd put in there to keep  METTA WADE PEACE from going postal and hold LBJ's hand when he losses.

Chandler can shut down the wimppy Bosh and Amaire can torch the heat.  Heat don't have a decent point guard either.

Wade looks old-er the past few games... not the Wade of old, I look for Shumpert to give him a fit,... IF the refs , call the game fairly.

The HEAT bench sucks so bad... its not funny. So basically the CHEAT are a one man show as I see it.

LBJ ...can't beat the Knicks by himself.   Mello can score as often as Le Brick...yes I see the Knicks simular to the Mavs ....

GO KNICKs!!

The Knicks are a good defensive team this year, they're going to lose this series because offensively they won't be able to score on the Heat consistently enough to win.

Forget all this talk of Phil Jackson going back to New York. I would LOVE to see Van Gundy back there. That's when the Knick/Heat rivalry was at its best.

Chandler was a Heat killer in the Finals last year and I think Melo's game is more effective in the playoffs when things are slowed down a bit. I still have Miami but this is going 7 and it won't be as easy for them as people think.

They also had Shawn Marion to guard both LBJ and wade for stretches at a time.

I don't see the Knicks duplicating the Mavs results against the Miami offense. Plus even if you think Melo = Dirk against the Heat offensively I don't see someone who can do what Barea did on the Knicks roster.

What is greatly overlooked is the size that the Knicks have
Lebron can be physically imposing on anyone defending him. But Carmelo is one of those players that are just as physically imposting

The Knicks frontline of Chandler, Amare, Carmelo, and even Jeffries are 10 times better than Joel Anthony, Pittman, Haslem, Bosh, and Lebron

Amare needs to take advantage of that that small forward Chris Bosh. If he's aggresive and dominant, Bosh has no chance against him

Have you watched Amar'e play this year? He's been terrible.

Plus playing a line up of Melo, Amar'e, and Chandler hasn't worked offensively.

Its all about defense with the Knicks. Tyson Chandler and Amare can keep Lebron and Wade out of the paint. And when Heat are forced to shoot jumpshots, it never turns out good

The Knicks have been better defensively with Melo at the PF compared to Amar'e.

I just don't see the Knicks scoring enough on the Heat to keep up. They don't have any favorable offensive match ups other than Chandler.
