Amare needs to take advantage of that that small forward Chris Bosh. If he's aggresive and dominant, Bosh has no chance against him
Have you watched Amar'e play this year? He's been terrible.

Plus playing a line up of Melo, Amar'e, and Chandler hasn't worked offensively.

Its all about defense with the Knicks. Tyson Chandler and Amare can keep Lebron and Wade out of the paint. And when Heat are forced to shoot jumpshots, it never turns out good
Are you sure last year in the playoffs we were buried by them with junpshots everything went in.....

The Knicks have been better defensively with Melo at the PF compared to Amar'e.

I just don't see the Knicks scoring enough on the Heat to keep up. They don't have any favorable offensive match ups other than Chandler.

Amare is favorable against Bosh. It doesn't matter how long Amare has been out. He needs to drive to the rim everytime Bosh is on him
And Carmelo is favorable against Lebron IMO, especially in the clutch

Amar'e has averaged 12 points 5 boards in 33 minutes against the Heat, not exactly an advantage there. Bosh/Haslem can defend him just fine with how bad he's looked.

LeBron just destroyed Carmelo in the fourth quarter of their most recent nationally televised game.

LeBron checked in after Melo got to the line and put the Knicks up two points 75-77. From that point forward he did nothing.

He went 1-6 with 1 assist. He only attempted two shots in 6 minutes while the Heat stormed back into the lead before he decided to just start hoisting up 3s in the last two minutes because he couldn't get any other shot on LeBron.

LeBron gives the Heat a sizable advantage when matched up with Melo.

As a New York Celtics fan I don't want the Knicks beating the Heat. I would have to move. I would never hear the end of it.

Last years 1st round playoff series was a nightmare. I need the Heat to finish the Knicks in 4.

LOL. This is kinda where I am too. The Knicks fans I know are getting too big for their britches. Especially after that blowout against us. I'd love their playoff woes to continue with another sweep. But at the same time I can't root for the Heat to win anything :-\ Why on earth hasn't a both team lose option been introduced in sports?

I wouldn't say they are in trouble. Now if NY doesn't win one of the first two, the series is pretty much over.

The Wade/Shumpert is the key matchup in my eyes. If Shumpert can contain Wade the Knicks have a great chance.

I respectfully disagree. That game was close and the Knicks had opportunities. Chandler also played horrible and I think his defense and rebounding will be a key to the Knicks winning. He can guard Bosh so Amare won't have too.

Also there is no pressure on NY. It's all on Miami and the spotlight and expectations really come into play now. LBJ had not fared well in these kind of moments. He's a great underdog but at no point in the playoffs will he be an underdog.

This is also his toughest playoff defensive assignment ever. More then ever he will be asked to play both ends of the court. This series comes down to Wade and Stoudemire. Amare needs to play like a beast. We will see whether Shumpert and Co plus that dislocated finger will be enough to take Wade off his rhythm.

The Knicks should not win this series but they have the pieces much like Dallas last year to get the job done.

The Knicks can never play Amare, Melo, and Chandler at the same time. Period.

Every single time they have played that line-up their defense and offense have stagnated. However, Amare+Melo without Chandler is good, and Melo+Chandler without Amare is great.

Not convinced by the Knicks.

I think injuries (Amare, Lin) have really hurt them this season. Stopped them from building enough chemistry/cohesion to be a threat in this year's playoffs. Next year though, they should be a different beast. Maybe not a title contender but a really good team that is capable of winning a series (or two).

This year though just came too quickly for them. Too many injuries.

The Heat should sweep.

If they don't, it will disappoint.

The Knicks flat out *SHOULD* have been the 3 or 4 seed this season based on that roster alone. I've been hoping for them to match up against the Heat in round 1 and I'm very excited that it's happening.

Chandler can dominate. Melo can neutralize LeBron. The biggest thing going to the Heat is Wade's advantage over any other 2 the Knicks can put.

I just like the size of the Knicks and the fact that they're loaded (if healthy). Baron and Amare's back issues could crop up and doom them, but if they STEP up and feel healthy, watch out.

Oh, and naturally, after a huge upset in round 1 I expect the Knicks to implode in round 2. Dream scenario.

Lebron can shut down Melo with ease. They will let Melo have fun for the middle quarters, and then put Lebron on him at the end and shut down the Knicks' offense.

Problem is with Cheat ...is if WAde or LBJ fail to get their 30-40 points each .....there is no bench and nobody to pull their weight should they struggle.

The "PRESSURE" is on LBJ and SPO ......squarely on them....not the Knicks. Wade don't look like he gives a flip to me.

SPO needs LBJ and Wade to save his neck (job) , no banner , he is history I'm betting.

The big 2 1/2 BIG Cheats have to be worried , its all up to them  to beat a deep Knicks team.  They saw their sorry excuse of a bench get pulverized by several teams without them. The confidence level has to be shaken a bit after watching those horror shows.

GO KNICKS ...destroy the Cheaters
