This would be a great situation for the Cs. Not necessarily with who they have the celtics taking but with who is available. A Moe Harkless,Arnett Moultrie, and Will Buford draft would be great.

Wow that would be a very bad draft for us. We need bigs!! We got Pierce, Bradley, and Rondo in the backcourt. Need a Center the worst way or a decent rebounder.
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

While I agree that size would be the priority, its always important to remember that you don't draft rotation players, you draft potential.  Anyone they draft will not be expected to play a major role next year, therefore, Danny will have to find the size and rebounding elsewhere.

With that said, with our core going forward, we are very much lacking big men to build around, so they would be at the top of the list, if there is a good one available.

not sure where you're seeing Harkless and Moultrie.  The link has us picking Wroten and Fournier which I'm not in agreement with.

I do agree with you that if Danny picked up Harkless and Moultrie in the first round that would be a terrific draft by Danny regardless of who he takes in the second round

Hey, I'm just saying, the last athletic wing prospect selected in the 20's of the first round to come out of france that I'd never heard of was Nic Batum. He's good.

That mock draft looks more like player rankings with logos next to them, instead of considering teams' needs.  I don't think there's any way we'll take a PG of any kind, BPA or not.

Fournier would also be a nice pick up. Very solid in French league at a very young age.

I pointed out that I didn't like who this draft has the Cs taking, but I like the fact that in this mock has Harkless and Moultrie available when the celtics pick. Any combination of Miller,Harkless, Fournier, or Taylor to go along with Moultrie would be a solid draft in my opinion.

Taylor and Fournier are capable are playing next season while Miller and Harkless are projects.

I wouldn't be shocked if Danny drafted Wroten. He has a ton of upside for a player going late first round.

What's wrong with his arm?

Ha, this mock draft also has us with Milwaukee's 2nd rounder - the one we're now guaranteed to miss out on.

Yea when I read this the other day it just looked like they took their rankings for the top 60 and then just put the teams that would likely be there at that draft choice.  So I promptly ignored whatever they had said in their mock.

Well, it does say in bold print at the top:

"Team needs have NOT yet been taken into account in this mock draft."

How come we aren't getting Milwaukee's pick?  I can't imagine it had to do with Dooling actually meeting any incentives for us this year.

The Bucks failed to make the play-offs which is what we need to happen in order to get their pick.

Man, this is the Internet - I can't be expected to avoid work, complain, AND read bold text at the same time!   That does make more sense though  :)

We needed them to be at #45 or worse, so they had to make the playoffs and have a better record than all the West non-playoff teams too.
