  • GOT IT!!!
He has lost some of that explosiveness with age/injury. He's 35 and is still a beast though. 24/10 tonight which is around what the C's consistently get out of now. He's looking about as good as he was pre knee injury.

C's are also undefeated against Minnesota since KG came to the green. Ya think he doesn't love playing against his old team?  :)

It will be interesting to see what he does this summer because teams will be clamoring for his services.

And he's worth it. There are a decent number of players with better raw statistics than him, but very few that have more of an impact on the game. He needs to continue playing because he is too good still to retire, and it would be a crying shame if he plays anywhere but for Boston.

While KG was taking an out of bounds ball, a Minnesota fan asked him to come back and play for them next year. KG muttered, "No way."

he should easily be able to get 10 to 12 mil per from a team next season.

Imagine if he signed to be the Heat's starting center?  Vomit.

Luckily, that doesn't seem like KG's style.

Of course Post-KG Timberwolves teams have been mostly awful, but since the Celtics have also shown a propensity to lose to terrible teams, I'll buy it. ;)

Let's see if he'll take 7 or 8 per for two years for a chance to retire a Celtic.  I'll roll the dice with that.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Celtics should be willing to give this guy a decent contract to stay with the team. Why in god's name would you try to sign this guy back for chicken feed? It makes no sense at all.

Kevin Garnett is the kind of player any team would go after, and this team, it seems, is considering letting the guy go?

KG's going nowhere....don't know why we're worried, here.

He'll get a decent contract that is fair for both sides. The man looks to remain a top 5 PF for another couple of years.

KG is cut from different cloth...that's why he stays.

We'll sign Kaman to allow him to move back to PF...bring back Jeff Green, etc...he'll see what Danny does with the draft, and that'll seal the deal.

He retires in Green - along with Paul and hopefully Ray.

At least that's MY hope.

Time for Ray to move on--but KG is key to transitioning to the next generation.

Exactly. Who are the Celtics going to get that's better than KG? Nobody. Sign him short term to help bridge the gap to the next generation. Eric Gordon isn't the answer, OJ Mayo isn't the answer... why waste money on those guys when you know KG can get you wins?

Rondo, Bradley, Pierce, KG, (Rookie Center)

Moore, Rookie swingman, Green and/or Rookie, JJJ/Bass, Stiemsma

That's rebuilding at three serious position while also giving more minutes to the young guys that are currently here AND you aren't even that bad of a team.

Maybe bring back Hollins too, the kid is young and could grow alongside Rondo for cheap money.
