I love the idea of Chris Paul with Mike D'Antoni but I wouldn't hire D'Antoni if I were the Clippers.

The rest of the team is built to play with a power lineup rather than a quick finesse game that D'Antoni likes. They'd be creating just as many (if not more) problems as solutions for themselves by hiring D'Antoni.

You're probably right, though I think they could make some simple transactions - specifically at the wing - to make the roster better suited for his system.

Still, they're probably talented enough that they could just hire a competent coach to right the coach. McMillan and Paul could be a good fit.

Yeah i wonder if watching the Knicks can their coach and go on a mini-run factors into the decision making process over there. Just goes to show that you don't necessarilly need the perfect coach, sometimes you just need a capable coach mixed with a locker room shake-up.

clippers fans take on making playoffs...
he thinks they are skating on thin ice.

If Del Negro goes it could be good for them...
this is awesome!
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Read that last line again. One more time.

Clippers could legitimately miss the playoffs.  I think the they had a favorable schedule to start off the year.  10 out the 19 remaining games for the Clippers are against teams with winning records and they still have 5 back to backs.  They are only a 1/2 game ahead of Houston for the last spot in the playoffs and the 9th place Jazz just won their 5th straight game.  I'm hoping for an epic Clippers collapse that leads to a pick somewhere around 14 for the Celtics.

Yeah! Go Clips, keep them losses coming.

I had been wanting to post this thread for a week now, but figured now was the time.

Bring on that late lottery pick!

Finesse can only take you so far. They're fun to watch though.

Absolutely absurd play by Smith. But I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed it.

I think the memo has gone out that if you play Blake physical, you get under his skin pretty quick and affect his game in a negative way. He had zero impact for the remainder of the game after that hit.

I haven't seen a clip, but I have read that Jason Smith got a standing ovation from New Orleans fans after being ejected for a flagrant 2.  Can anyone confirm?
