Well he can be really proud about himself, what a jerk. I hope he gets suspended for a game or 5!

I liked it.  If it makes Griffin think twice next time he tries to posterize someone, it was effective.

A player like Griffin better expect these type of fouls if he is going to continue always trying to put someone on a poster, and preening about the court afterwards.
Just no, its a dirty play that is dangerous and could have seriously hurt Griffin. No play on the ball at all, just a move out of football, Smith looked like a Safety trying to knock a WR out of bounds.

Griffin goes in to dunk the ball, make a hard play on the ball instead of a tackle.

Nope, not gonna change my opinion.

I'm guessing you didn't like the McHale foul from back in the day?  That was far worse, close-lining a guy leaving his feet is much more dangerous.

Griffin was never even given the opportunity to jump.  It wasn't that dangerous.

And extra credit to Perk for teaching Griffin a lessson.

I'm not old enough to really be around, I've only seen that play in highlights. If it happened now I'd probably try to rationalize why KG did it but in the end I wouldn't like it. Getting suspended from a game doesn't help your team in my view.

Do you think Wade made a great play when he dragged Rondo to the floor destroying his elbow? Do you think that Andrew Bynum should have cheapshotted Barea earlier in the Lakers/Mavs playoffs last year?

Swap the uniforms and the tune would change, dirty plays that can end a players season with an injury aren't okay. I don't like when Reggie Evans headhunts on Rondo and I don't like when Jason Smith headhunts on Griffin.

Not the same man. Both the Jason Smith foul and the Mchale foul  were to prevent layups. Wade pulled Rondo down.

I think the Celtics should have a goon on the team whose job is to get some payback, perhaps by fouling Wade hard while he is in the act of going for a layup.

Maybe we should just get back on topic.

Hard fouls really don't have anything to do with the Clips and them making/missing the playoffs.

Unless of course, someone actaully does injure Griffin.

Pulled him down to prevent him from running the floor on a fastbreak. Pulled him down after a turnover to prevent a layup, exactly the same.

I know the rumors are out right now the players in LA are wanting a coaching change.  I wonder how thin Vinny's ice is right now?

The last thing I want to see is the Vinny get fired, and the team rally around the new coach.

Meant to say after the play. Am in overdrive this week.

Anyway, all opinions respected.

Hope the Clippers continue to drop just the right amount. Maybe this is it, finally a good pick after however many years it has been. Like I said before, they say the teens are where you want to be in this draft and I agree.

I'm all for giving a hard foul to send a message, but there IS a difference between a hard foul and a flagrant foul.

A "good" hard foul isn't one where you are intentionally trying to injure the guy, a la Wade or Smith, but enough of a bump that there's no way in hell they are getting to the basket and no you mean business. It's a fine line, sure, but there are players who are [dang]ed good at that. Tyson Chandler is a master of the hard foul. Him and Stevenson shut down the Heat with those in the Finals.

Geez, if Month is done so might the Clips.  He has been basically their entire bench scoring.

Maybe they go after Rasul Butler?
