First and probably last big...ish signing by the Patriots. I'll post the exact contract details when I get them, but Schefter just posted it on Twitter.

Great signing.  With him and Gonzalez, the Pats should be in much better shape at the receiver spot this year.

They've made the letters "f" and "u" (when together) a faux swear abbreviation ... that's going to make a ton of words miss letters whenever those two are together.

Great deal. Buh-bye Ochocinco.
I fully expect Branch to be back, though. The type of chemistry he has with Brady is not easy to replicate (see Ochocinco, Taylor Price, etc).
Celtics fan for life.

Lloyd wanted to play here all along. He had great success with McDaniels. He's now one of my favorite players, he stuck to his word and took a paycut just to play for the Pats.

Hopefully not, there are many people split on this. Some want "Ochostinko" out of here, others like me, want to give him a chance.

Personally I feel he has much more upside than Branch. Deion is great and all, and we all know of his chemistry with Brady, but at this point of his career he just can't win one-on-ones and create separation, he isn't a threat outside the numbers.

I feel like Josh can bring Ocho back, heck look at Lloyd's stats before Denver...

And another factor is that, if we cut 85, some of his contract still counts against the cap, Branch's doesn't because is a FA. I would only take Deion if he would accept the minimum contract.

WR
1. Welker
2. Lloyd
3. Ocho
4. Gonzalez
5. Edelman
6. Slater

But I think Gronk and Aaron would still be targets number 2 and 3. Look for Aaron to play more in the slot, the Patriots might bring one more TE. Also, Gonzalez has had many injuries, I don't know if he makes it trough camp, but if he does he's the main backup to Wes.

Add dynamic young backs Ridley/Vereen combo and you're set for the most explosive offense the league has ever seen.

Call me when they start signing Defensive players.
Dont get me wrong its a great deal signing Brandon Lloyd, but our Defense sucks alot. We shouldnt be focusing on offensive players...

There's still the draft where the Pats have lots of picks.  By signing Lloyd, they can now focus in the draft almost exclusively on defense (and perhaps a center for the O-line).

Given BB's recent track record with drafting wide receivers, it seems like a good idea to go this way.

Chill. We have 2 1sts, and 2 2nds. Those should go to the defensive side of the ball.
If we bring back Carter/Anderson we are mostly set.
