Deron is leaving would KG really want to go there?I doubt money is even an issue. Not to mention Doc knows KG better than anybody, knows when to push him and when not to and limit his minutes. I think if KG plays next year it's here...especially if its coming off say a heartbreaking ECF loss where we almost make the Finals. I don't see him or Ray wanting to leave unless we decide to part from them.
I could see the Russian billionaire offering 2 year $30 million to KG. For $15 million a year, I can't see KG turning it down. And I hope Danny would not match.
I'm assuming KG will retire after this year. His decline in athleticism is going to make it hard to be good power forward and he doesn't like playing center (though I think he could be a solid center). The only thing he has left to play for is championships. He doesn't strike me as the type to stick around past his time, so I think this might be it.
I seriously don't get why people think KG is going to retire. He's not some corpse who can barely go up and down the floor. He's not some washed-up has-been. He's still good enough that $10m might be a bargain for the production he can offer for next season.

That is the main reason. If Boston isn't competing for a title and decides to rebuild with new people, I think his interest in staying in the league fades pretty fast. I get the feeling that the wear and tear of everyday life as an NBA player is gnawing away at him pretty fierce too. He is still a very talented NBA player and can most definitely help someone if he decides to stay on. I hope he stays in the NBA (with Boston or not) and plays on.
I’m going to probably fade to black. To be honest, I’m not a showman guy. I’m going to fade to black. I don’t know what I will do. I’m an idealist. I have a high drive and I’m very determined. Fade to black, man, like evaporate.
