NJ to target KG in the off-season?

I seriously don't get why people think KG is going to retire.  He's not some corpse who can barely go up and down the floor.  He's not some washed-up has-been.  He's still good enough that $10m might be a bargain for the production he can offer for next season.

I have a hard time seeing Garnett switch teams. That is the main reason.

If Boston isn't competing for a title and decides to rebuild with new people, I think his interest in staying in the league fades pretty fast. I get the feeling that the wear and tear of everyday life as an NBA player is gnawing away at him pretty fierce too.

He is still a very talented NBA player and can most definitely help someone if he decides to stay on. I hope he stays in the NBA (with Boston or not) and plays on.

I actually think New Jersey would be a great offer for Garnett.

I have a tough time seeing want to join someone like Miami or the Lakers. A team he has competed against fought hard with in the past. I think his own mentality will make it difficult for him to go to a place like that.

But somewhere like New Jersey which is a brand new situation (Brooklyn) ... a team that is being built from the ground up. That he can be apart of something new that is trying to win a title and has a lot of talent around him but he can still be a leader. If the money is really good, I think that could be a very enticing situation for Garnett.

If KG were going to go somewhere and chase a ring, I think I'd prefer to see him somehow end up in Dallas, although it would greatly amuse me if KG and overpaying with a near-max contract to Eric Gordon that NO won't match is what would allow Cleveland to win a title before LeBron in Miami.

As long as Paul, Ray and Rajon are here, I'd find it hard to believe that KG would retire or go to NJ - no matter how much money they offered.

KG is still a top of the league, maybe the best defensive player yet, and still plays incredible attack.
It is impressive to see him play, with 35 years, passion, motivation and pride, KG is legend.

I think he can still play at least two years at a good level, he said that Boston would be his last train, do not know, I'd like to retire in Boston he and Ray, but we have to see what happens at the end of season .

Doc is also very important in this situation.
