Several contenders chasing Ray Allen. Some offering a good young player, some offering 1st round pick. If Celts get both, they may move him.

I would be very interested in who the players involved are. I wouldn't be surprised to have Danny hike up the price and get a deal done today.

A player and a low first round pick would be a good haul for Ray Allen. Though it'd suck to not have him in a C's uniform anymore, I can't blame Danny for getting value for him when the team is just 23-19.

Ainge offered Indiana a pick for them to take in Jermaine O'Neal in a salary dump.

I have a feeling today is going to be pretty unproductive at work.

Well, on the radio today, Danny said the asking price was a young, bench player, and a first round pick.  I would not imagine he is being offered blue chip prospects.

I would love for him to retire as a C. Call me sentimental, whatever. His fingerprints are on our 17th banner.

Unless it really is a "can't say no" sort of offer, I'd just as soon keep Ray.  The Celtics are going to be able to get any good player they want with their cap room and one more pick, unless it's in the lottery, isn't going to make that big a difference.  The signs are clearly there that Ray's game is finally starting to fall off, but why spoil this team's last run for next-to-nothing?

Plus the fact that it could have a terribly negative effect on KG.

Not worth it to me. I'm not even sure why everyone is so fascinated with draft picks anyway. We never play them.

Keep Ray and let him re-sign for cheap in the off season. He'll be great for the 2nd unit.

Can't help but applaud the people who still have hope for this team even at 23-19.

If I were Danny I'd have traded him for a 1st round pick already.

Delonte West, Marcus Banks, Rajon Rondo, Leon Powe, Ryan Gomes, Kendrick Perkins, Tony Allen, Al Jefferson, and Gerald Green are all confused to how you've forgotten all of their playing time already.

Once the C's are rebuilding with just Pierce and Rondo likely remaining of the current group draft picks and young players are going to be the path forward again.
