al gae long bynum scored at will EXCEPT when steamer was ON HIM...then steamer was out...bynum scored the hard last points.....6 of them..explain that...

Is that really what happened? Wow...

Steamer did not get a 4th quarter minute. Truly sad. Van Gundy was commenting on how well he was playing before Doc yanked him. Doc does not have the guts to play Steamer over Bass.

Doc has some real issues when it comes to trusting rookies...I obviously don't know what goes on in practice and the locker room but if Stiemsma found a way to slow down Bynum at ALL and wasn't in foul trouble, theres no reason for him not to be on the floor.

one big reason is that we can't afford to have 2 guys who can't shoot out on the floor together at the end of games. We already had enough issues with the defense sagging off Rondo. This is why Perk sat at the end of games when he was here. The rondo effect.

I'm okay with Doc not having Stiemer in for those final minutes, but I really would have liked to see KG get a 5 minute break in the middle of the 4th.  A fresher KG with just a little more oomph could have made a difference at the end.

Tough Loss.

But after watching the entire game, I'm happy with the effort.

If BOS plays like this from here on out, they will win the majority of their games.

No Wilcox and no JO. Either of these two could've helped us today.

Decent game from Stiem. Good games from Bass and KG.

Wish Ray and Paul could've got going earlier, but LA's D was decent on them.

RONDO WAS AWESOME. I saw Kobe playing OFF OF HIM less, today. Starting to respect Rondo's Jumper (wow - that was an oxymoron a year or so ago :)).

Any time one of the all-time greats in Kobe respects your game, then you have arrived.

Note to Danny: IF YOU TRADE RAJON RONDO, IT'D BETTER BE FOR A TOP 5 PLAYER.

Overall, I'm happy with this loss. If BOS bottles up this effort and uses it for the next few weeks, then we can make a run in the playoffs, plain and simple.

Just rinse and repeat, BOS - just without the loss.
TP for this, GF ... you saved me a ton of typing, Brotha. Always a painful loss to the Fakers, (and Kobe showed us why they're called that with that stupid flop attempt), but we played three excellent quarters, and if we play this way with a completely healthy team, we can contend with the best. Nice showing.

rondo will be guarded by kobe which is what i hate, but he needs to be aggressive out the gate and needs to remember he has the speed advantage over kobe.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FyV09sdRhw&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PLDFC15C0E398AD03D

and pierce needs to have a big game and don't freeze up, like he did last time just because metta was guarding him.

lets revisit my first comment rondo did what i wanted him to do but pierce froze up

yes, I agree with that. KG should have had a break with Steimsma out there earlier in the 4th

Back at you, Man.

After watching the game, I just couldn't pin this one on lack of effort.

And I'll type it again: DANNY AINGE - IF TRADE RAJON RONDO, AND DON'T GET BACK A TOP 5 PLAYER FOR HIM, THEN YOU'VE BEEN FLEECED :)).

This young man is growing right before our eyes - I was a fool for wanting to trade this guy for Curry.

There is NO WAY he CANNOT be a good cornerstone for this franchise going forward.

Not from what I saw, today.

Pietrus was -7 today, Stiemsma was -4.

The two guys people are saying they should have replaced in crunch time were +1, +3.

Welcome to the lottery folks..

IF BOS continues to play with THIS EFFORT that I saw today, they cetainly WON'T be in the lottery, my friend.

Yeah, it's rather "welcome to the 4th or 5th seed", if this is what they bring without Wilcox/JO.

By the way I don't think Bass guarded Bynum for 1 play during that game. Even if you think Stiems should have been inBass and KG made so many big shots in the 4th.  Its not just about d but balance and those guys were huge and bass got a few huge rebounds. Its too risky to sub offense for defense late in those games because you risk having some of those guys out there for multiple possessions.

Plus even if you absolutely think that Stiems should have been in. You guys watch enough NBA to know that a guy on like Bass and ESPECIALLY a guy likely are going to be able to play a lot more physical on the defensive side. There's no doubt they would have been whistling Stiems up everytime they went into the post to Bynum. Can any of you pro Stiemsma during clutch 4th quarter minutes guys refute this point?

Exactly.

If I were Doc, I'd be telling our guys "GREAT EFFORT, TODAY. forget about this one and get ready for the Clips."

"Repeat this effort, and we'll win the majority of our games from here on out."

"DON'T GET INTO A FUNK."

And DWIGHT HOWARD - if you watched this game, you'd be a FOOL for not wanting to consider BOS.

Deron is a great player, no doubt...but you'd be missing out on Rondo.........better get on bus number 9 while you can.

Either stay in ORL, or come to BOS. ;D

Did you watch the game? Did you see Pietrus shut down Kobe and Steamer block Bynum and Gasol plus get some tough rebounds against the 7 footers? I did and it happened multiple times.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

It was pretty good considering Crawford was out there. Celtics got a few more PFs but the Lakers drove it to the basket and worked the post more. Crawford even called Gasol for a fast break travel. I was amazed!!!

I actually thought Pietrus struggled massively against Kobe today, he could barely move. I was shocked and not happy when I saw Pietrus in the game during the 4th. Plus I was worried about him launching his patten  bonehead 3's
