Danny, you better get Doc superior talent if you want another championship.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

We rely on perimeter jump shots which gets us 0 chance of getting to the line, they rely on getting into the paint and getting 2 foot shots.

Yup.  You can't beat good teams in this league without an inside presence on offense.  Can't do it.

Worse part of losing to the Lakers is having to listen to Kobe pretend he's a team player/MJ in the post game interview.

It'll happen . . . 5-10 years from now.  Right now, it's time to get what we can for the old guys and start rebuilding.

  • GOT IT!!!
To all of you who hold out hope that this team can dial it up in the post-season, I refer you to games like this.

This team has shown time and time again this season that against good teams they just can't do what it takes, especially late in the 4th quarter.

Come on man, can't this stuff wait.

What a heartbreaker.

Valiant effort for the short handed no center Celtics.

They were lucky they were even in this game with the talent disparity between these two teams.

that's not good support for your argument. The celtics had a ton of chances to win this game today, and they are without 2 key big men, so yea, they can turn it up when they want to.

Are people really saying Doc lost us this game?

We have no frontcourt, they have the best frontcourt in the league, this was a guaranteed loss if there was one.

Lakers are 10-5 against the Celtics since 2008 with Andrew Bynum.

Just wrong.  Out-talented -- no question about it.  We can't say that this team is mediocre - 7/8 seed and then expect them to do any better than they did today.  A chance to win.  Definitely got open looks over the last 4 possessions (not so much on the last possession).  couldn't convert -- but played well shorthanded against a more talented team on their court.

Good game - You guys were there till the end, as you always are for almost all of our meetings. Nothing to be ashamed of.

I dont care what people say
SIZE does matter.

You're right. We need "big" bigs.

I can take the loss, what bothers me is the lack of execution in the final run... and Joey Crawford.

Go Celtics! Laker's size and ref job are too much for this team. We need some help, Danny.
