Don't think it makes a huge difference. I am glad that we didn't keep it between 15-20the and risk playing our guys heavy minutes in the hopes of going on a run.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Don't really care to be honest.
Tonight was always going to be a struggle as a back to back.
Our starters played some serious minutes vs NYC and Houston in overtime and played their hearts and guts out.
Ray, KG and Bass(coming in with light ankle problems) just had no legs whilst the young Philly team were desperate to prove themselves at home against a proven squad on a roll.
Perfect game for Philly to poach a weakened vet squad.
I wouldn't look into it too much.
Multiple days rest in between each game in the playoffs paints a completely different scenario- which is completely in our favor.
They were missing Hawes and Young in the paint but I like our chances against the 76ers in a 7 game series.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

When you see a big blowout loss like last night, it makes me think that some of the guys (*cough cough* Rondo) don't *get* it.  Seems like guys only show up to play when the national TV audience is watching...   but if you keep stinking up the joint all the time, there won't BE any nationally televised games anymore.

When it seems like the effort isn't there, not just with RR but also with the frontcourt players...  when it seems the effort just isn't there, that's not very professional.  I'd rather watch a team that has the discipline to bring it every night.

Maybe we've still got a latent strain of Rasheed Wallace syndrome in the locker room!

I was hoping for more fight in the dog last night. To me this loss was like the Laker loss.

You "don't" lose to the Lakers on your home court. You "don't" lose on your home court to the team that beat you in a game 7 that prevented you from winning title #18. You don't do that.
I thought the Celtics didn't show enough passion, fight, desire and pride in the Laker loss. And that loss to the Lakers was the start of a pretty good skid for us. We were 10-2 going into that game.

This Philly game was the same to me:

They are the team we are "currently" vying with for the Atlantic division title - and we come in and put up "that" game? Seriously?

I don't care if you're tired, whatever, back to backs. It's a short flight to Philly and these guys are elite athletes.

Lose? fine. Lose that way? No.

Needed more focus, more fight, more disire, more pride.

If I were the GM, this loss, along with many other factors thus far this year, would have me leaning towards the little red blow up button.
