  • Rondo = Good
Utterly ridiculous.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Not cool and definitely not classy... Then again it is the Clippers.

I hate sterling , he is such a dumb racist POS ( not that it has anything to do with this, just saying)

That isn't harsh enough to describe Sterling in my opinion.

He should just legally change his name to Clipper. Problem, SOLVED.

Un-****-believable! >:(

In spite of that piece of human excrement, Donald Sterling, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the Clips. This pretty much tears it though.

They must not want to have any fans. Idiots.

I wonder if New York would object to their own superfan calling himself 'Knickerbocker Spike'? ;)

I have no problem with what the Clippers did.  The guy was going around doing interviews and making it seem like he was there on behalf of the Clippers.  He was making money off those appearances.  The Clippers asked him to tone it down or at least consult them before he made those appearances, but he essentially refused and went on a media offensive about how he was wronged.  Yet also made statements like if people were going to pay him, why shouldn't he get paid.  Of course they were only paying him because he was "Clipper" Darrell.  The Clippers have also given him seat upgrades and free seats for years.

Sterling is an easy target for the media, but he is absolutely correct in this situation.

This is unbelievably stupid, though. The potential PR backlash involved with this should get somebody fired.

While I hate to stand up for the Clippers/Sterling on anything, I have no problem with this.  He was using their trademark to profit without permission and without compensating them for it.  While, that is fine for him, since it is small change, it does make a precedent, and I think it opens the clippers up to bigger fish who will claim that they can use their trademark without compensating them for it.

I am by no means an expert on this stuff, but I have seen enough frivilous lawsuits to know that big organizations needs to be VERY careful about things like this, because while this guy might not be really taking advantage of it, there will be others who will.

Here's hoping that the controversy is enough of a distraction to lose a few games for them, here and there.....thus sweetening up that pick we have of theirs. :).
