Well, Rondo + Pierce makes sense for a couple of reasons:
1) Bradley at point, with Garnett + Howard underneath would be disruptive. Bradley eats up seconds on the shot clock on defense, and then when you get into your sets - Garnett + Howard.
2) We would have something like $52M in cap room next year, that's enough to give Howard the 5 year extension, sign D-Will for the max, and still have enough left over to sign 2-4 good players. Or, try for a "Big 3" with Eric Gordon.
Beasley could look good next to Howard, although I'm not sure where he gets the minutes over Garnett. I like him less at SF, although we do need the scoring.
