Any team that has a top heavy roster is going to probably improve. (two less teams and you can improve your 3-11 guys)
Teams based on depth are more likely to get worse (76ers, Memphis, Celtics....)
Like Fafnir said.
I struggled a bit with my first two selections, Gay, Gasol and ZBo. Marc was the easy pick, but then I had to go with Rudy because ZBo won't be back until March. Even once he gets back there's no guarantee that he will be the same as he was in the playoffs, and his numbers were already slightly worse starting this year, too.
I think his replacement (DWest) goes well with my squad, though, and is perhaps a very slight downgrade IMO - especially rebounding-wise.
But I feel very comfortable with those three scoring and I think they all compliment each other well.
Rudy helps out my rebounding numbers, and plays better D than I thought he did after checking his stats on Basketball-reference.
Backcourt? Still working on that. I love the vet leadership here, and plan on getting some youth injected in those spots to help out.
But like Faf stated - it is so hard to work with MEM and a few other teams. MEM was perhaps a solid 8-9 men deep even in the playoffs last year (Darell Authur, Sam Young, OJ Mayo, and even Grevious)
Going forward though I like my team's health. Still looking to tweek some things, but overall it's been a fun game. Hats off to IP, Roy Faf and others for making it work for the most part.
