They should package Bledsoe and Gomes together and acquire a quality backup wing.

Maybe Jared Dudley out of Phoenix. Not sure if it'd be enough to net them Dudley. They could include a first rounder too. Dudley would be perfect for a CP3 led offense just like he has been for a Nash led team.

Start Dudley and move Caron Butler to the bench. Have Caron Butler, Mo Williams and Kenyon Martin off the bench. Fearsome depth. Worth sacrificing a first and Bledsoe for.

I think the expiring Foye will be easier to package with Bledsoe than Gomes.

Very nice move by the Clips.  Gives them a little defensive toughness on that front-line and even more mobility.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Huge for them. Wonder if they'll look to flip Bledsoe for a swing to sew up that bench.

EDIT: bledsoe and a second for OJ Mayo?
Trading your backup PG of the future for a player who is approaching RFA when you already have Mo Williams to play combo guard off the bench?

Who cares about the "backup PG of the future"? Especially when he's backing up Chris Paul. I think the LAC will be able to survive without the "future" 10 mpg he would have given them.
You care because trading him for a combo guard like Mayo is wasteful since you'll have to pay Mayo if its more than a rental.

Plus what is Mayo going to do for them that Mo Williams isn't?

I'm not against trading Beldsoe, but not for OJ mayo.
I would sooooo trade Bledsoe for Mayo, and I don't think there's any way on Earth the Griz take it

Here we go

http://www.asia-basket.com/China/basketball-Players.asp

apparently Josh Boone averages 20 and 12 over there.  Hmmm. Not sure if I should take fantasy chances on these guys or not. They averaged like 32 and 7

Yeah, good call ... Randy Foye's expiring contract would make the package considerably more attractive.

So now they have Blake Griffin, Reggie Evans, Brian Cook, Trey Thompkins, and now Kenyon Martin.  Didn't realize that David Kahn is also the GM of the Clips.

Brian Cook, Reggie Evans and Trey Thompkins don't stop you from signing Kenyon Martin...

Obviously, a great move by them shoring up one of their few weaknesses. Reggie Evans and Kenyon Martin is a very nice bench front court, specifically defensively and rebound-wise.

Yeah plus "big man" is two slots on the floor, unlike PG. And your big men are more prone to injury, foul trouble, and typically play less minutes. So having as many bigs as you can get is a good idea.

The Clip's GM should take the Exec of the Year honor this season.  KMart signing was a great move, and if they can get JR Smith next, they'll shore up their need for a tall wing scorer off the pine (Foye sucks).  The knucklehead content goes way up with both KMart and JR Smith, but hopefully CP3 can keep things sane.

To win a title this season, the Clips could use another big bodied center.  Maybe they can rent a big for the stretch run by trading the expiring Gomes and Foye deals. Neil Olshey has a lot of chips to make a deadline move, with the Gomes/Foye expirers allowing him to take back over $10m in salary, and Mo Williams with only a player option next year at $8.5m.  He also has promising but redundant PG Eric Bledsoe. Although I love his scrappy play,  I'm not sold on Reggie Evans as a rotation big on a title team.

They traded Baron Davis and Kyrie Irving for Mo Williams.  That should keep anyone out of the EOTY running for a while.

Never seen KMart off the bench.  Hope to see that give him a little resurgence.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

And followed it up THIS SEASON by getting Chris Paul, Baron Davis, KMart, Caron Butler, re-upping Jordan, and building a team that figures to contend for a title.

When the Clips dumped Davis, it was lauded as a great deal for them.  If the ping pond balls go another way, the Cavs get some scrub and waste a gazillion bucks waiving Davis. Even how things turned out, I'd rather have CP3 than Irving and Davis' deal on my books.

BD was amnestied, and is injured, anyway. So, an overpaid/injured BD and a, no doubt, very surprisingly good Irving is better than Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups, D. Jordan, Caron Butler, Kenyon Martin, etc. You still have a lot to learn.
