Big signing to give them some more depth as long as he didn't eat his way out of NBA shape during lockout and his china stint.

Huge for them. Wonder if they'll look to flip Bledsoe for a swing to sew up that bench.

EDIT: bledsoe and a second for OJ Mayo?

Trading your backup PG of the future for a player who is approaching RFA when you already have Mo Williams to play combo guard off the bench?

No surprises.

In what future is Eric Bledsoe the Clippers point guard?

Who cares about the "backup PG of the future"? Especially when he's backing up Chris Paul. I think the LAC will be able to survive without the "future" 10 mpg he would have given them.

You care because trading him for a combo guard like Mayo is wasteful since you'll have to pay Mayo if its more than a rental.

Plus what is Mayo going to do for them that Mo Williams isn't?

I'm not against trading Beldsoe, but not for OJ mayo.

Darn ... would've liked to have seen Kenyon Martin go elsewhere.

I don't want to see the Clippers be successful. As an organization, they don't deserve it. Oh well.

But why not pay Mayo? He played at USC, it's a position of need, Billups will be a FA, and they have Paul at the 1. Right now Bledsoe is a luxury, while they continue to fill in with 1's at the 2. That may work in the regular season, but will it work when Billups & Williams have to guard Kobe & Harden for an entire series?

That's a relief.  Him signing with Miami would have been a major disappointment

So now they have Blake Griffin, Reggie Evans, Brian Cook, Trey Thompkins, and now Kenyon Martin.  Didn't realize that David Kahn is also the GM of the Clips.

It would have been nice to see him go someplace besides the Clippers because we're getting their draft pick this year, but better there than Miami.

Well have to wait and see what happen with Kenyon getting in shape.  He's a severly undersized, 34 year old interior player who's facing an enough tougher conditioning test than the vets who at least got half a training camp to start the season.

They should package Bledsoe and Gomes together and acquire a quality backup wing.

Maybe Jared Dudley out of Phoenix. Not sure if it'd be enough to net them Dudley. They could include a first rounder too. Dudley would be perfect for a CP3 led offense just like he has been for a Nash led team.

Start Dudley and move Caron Butler to the bench. Have Caron Butler, Mo Williams and Kenyon Martin off the bench. Fearsome depth. Worth sacrificing a first and Bledsoe for.
