If Ainge decides to break-up the Big 4, I believe this could be an interesting avenue:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=89y5lam In addition to the attached, Daniels would go to IND (where he's known and liked) and the worse of Cs 1sts in 2012 goes to CLE. To me, it makes some significant sense for each team.
IND: Rondo's a nice fit in IND. Rondo, Jones, Pierce, West, Hibbert with Dooling, Hill, Daniels, Hansbrough and Foster / Amunson off the bench could be special;
CLE: Gets two excellent young players to build around with Irving. Bass likely opts of his deal but could stay with Cleveland if they enjoy each others company this season;
BOS: A really nice rebuilding core with George, Varajeo, Collison, JJJ, Bradley, Moore, a better draft pick in the next draft, and a HUGE amount of cap space this summer. Get Howard and Williams to both sign... yes, you could make a real pitch to them both with that group and Doc, particularly if Ray and or KG would stay on the cheap to compete for another title. If not, use the space wisely ala OKC to build a terrific squad over the next 2-3 years.
By the way, I'd like to see a number of members of this year's team stay long term, namely Pietrus and Pavolvic. I'd also like to see Ray sign with the team for another year or two.
Thoughts?
