What a mammoth disappointment. Brady made two big mistakes, while Manning made none. The Giants put the ball on the ground three times, but the Pats never came up with the turnover they needed. The Ninkovick offside on third and long gave the Giants another possession. And finally, the miscue by Welker on Brady's slightly errant throw that could have cemented the game will haunt fans almost as much as the Asante Samuel drop in the 18-1 campaign.
Agree with everything except that last sentence.
Pats had opptys with the fumbles by the Giants, but didn't come up with one of those plays. That's what was needed, was one of those.
Look, I'm a Pats fan, but I'm not that upset. I think both teams played well. Neither dominated the other, and the game essentially came down to a few missed opptys on the part of the Pats. That's why they go home, and the Giants get the parade. Kudos to the Giants.
