haven't really watched him play but after reading his feature on draftexpress Jae Crowder looks like a nice prospect as a 3 off the bench. He projects as a physical defender who rebounds and his outside shot is improving. Not a bad pick up late 1st early 2nd.

I still like Harkless....only a freshman, but Barnes will be excellent but not available for C's

Barnes gets the Pierce comparison a lot, in addition to Sean Elliott, Danny Granger and Glen Rice but while he has Pierce's mid-range game and three point stroke, he lacks the great first step Pierce had.  That's a huge difference.  Without that, Barnes is going to struggle to get to the line at a healthy clip and he's not going to have a lot of tricks in his bag to counter strong defenders every night.  I don't think Barnes has the passing ability to ever average more than 3 assists at his peak either, another thing that differentiates him from Pierce.

Don't get wrong, I like Barnes.  I think he has a very solid floor but his floor isn't much different from his ceiling.  He has too many holes in his game from his lack of quickness, subpar handle and bland passing for me to think he's going to be special.

Besides Granger, Elliott and Rice comparisons, he also reminds me of a taller Caron Butler with a better long range shot.  That's a very good player who many teams would love to have.

Perry Jones III has slipped in recent mocks but if he isn't a lottery pick I'd be shocked (and happy). He is a good player that would rebound abd perfectly compliment rondo running the floor.

Yes. He lacks the first step and he lacks the advanced dribble moves and the footwork.

Barnes is a very mediocre creator off the dribble. I'd be even wary to compare him to those guys offensively. Maybe the post-injuries Sean Elliot. I do like his defense though.

Potentially in our range I'm intrigued by John Hensen and Terrence Jones for guys with size, Terrence Ross at SG maybe. Fab Melo if we can get him in the early 2nd round.

Andre Drummond is looking like good value tonight.

Wait, there are only 2 rounds now. Scratch that...
