This one might have been brought up already, but maybe not exactly like this.

It works on realgm.

Do you pull the trigger in Beantown and does Chitown do it since Thibs knows PP intimately??

Nah, doesn't seem worth it to me.

They don't need a guy like Pierce when they're already paying Deng to play SF. They had pretty similar years last year, and Deng is much younger.

Pierce is a more aggresive offensive creator/talent, but since Deng finally added a three point shot he's rounded out to a near all-star reserve level guy.

And we don't need a pile of spare parts and marginal talent.

Yeah I like all of these guys but they wont be players in the long run future for us. Would rather have Pierce then four guys who will probably head off elsewhere within the next two years. Quality over quantity.

I really dont think we need to or even should trade any of our players.

This deal makes no sense for Chicago at all.  How nice it would be to break up the best team in the east but that's a pipe dream.

That kills Chicago's depth which is a strength for them.

Plus, you get a Deng/Pierce overlap.

Chicago wouldn't do this deal.  They're already a contender in the East and I think this weakends them.

Ya, don't think the Bulls would do it even if I'd love to get Taj Gibson in a trade.

Anyone else shocked how good Ronnie Brewer has been playing his season? His offense has been... not very Ronnie Brewer like.

8 ppg in 25 minutes doesn't look like anything to write home about.

The other thing about this deal is that it puts them well over the luxury tax with just 6 guys under contract next year.  I am sure they can afford it, but with the new rules, it really does restrict them.

But he's been hitting the open shots. I feel like that's really why they went after Rip, just needed a guy who could bury a wide open 2 and Brewer wasn't that guy last year.

Ray would be a better fit for them.

Ray for Gibson Asik and Korver would make me very happy.  Doubt the bulls would do it though..

Chicago needs Ray Allen, not Paul Pierce.  Allen >> Rip Hamilton.  Not sure about those two guys on the same team, though - thought I heard there was some bad blood.
