the Lakers could offer Bynum straight up and that would be a better deal for them. Lopez, when he returns and shows he's still got it post-injury, would probably be more palatable, as well.
any team is gonna take a young All-Star level center (even with injury issues) over a young All-Star level pg.
what's more, I don't see why Howard would want to re-sign here if Rondo were not going to be on board going forward (and wouldn't have cap space to sign a top PG due to Hedo's deal).
