Seems like a decent offer for Howard and the removal of hedo's contract.

Other pieces could be added as well.

If they value Rondo more then Curry then I'm sure they'd do it. If the Celtics make that trade though it would have to be dependent on Dwight signing an extension or else we gave Rondo and two firsts for cap space.  That's not going to attract free agents.
do it

  • I love the Celtics
Lol, now this is just getting comical!
Yea let's trade Rondo and KG for Howard and Turk.
We can have Bradley run the offense and move PP to power forward. We could easily get to the finals with that lineup.

  • Rondo = Good
in short: no.

the Lakers could offer Bynum straight up and that would be a better deal for them.  Lopez, when he returns and shows he's still got it post-injury, would probably be more palatable, as well.

any team is gonna take a young All-Star level center (even with injury issues) over a young All-Star level pg.

what's more, I don't see why Howard would want to re-sign here if Rondo were not going to be on board going forward (and wouldn't have cap space to sign a top PG due to Hedo's deal).

Please people be reasonable!
1) Hedo SUCKS no way i want him in a green jersey. And certainly not for that kind of money.
2) Lets say we do this.. Why should Dwight extend by the end of the season? The only good player we have left is Pierce, and Dwight isnt dumb he knows that Pierce and himself wont win it all alone. Rondo is one of the keys to get Dwight to Boston.
We dont need him know, get him by the end of the season.

Just get another PG? Have you even seen the PG Free agents this season?
Kirk Hinrich, Ramon Sessions (He has a Player Exception prob wont opt out of his current deal), Jason Kidd, Andre Miller, Dragic, Foye, Nash etc.
Rondo is better than all of them. Why dont people appreciate what RR does for us? Get Howard in FA 2012..

Dwight Howard would not sign a contract extension here in Boston if Hedo Turkoglu was here too clogging up the cap space. Danny Ainge would have to have either Rondo (with Pierce) or another all-star caliber player (like Deron Williams) on the roster for Dwight to re-up here.

The Celtics are not in a position where they can take back bad contracts while still making the team an attractive situation for Dwight Howard.

Deal breaker.

Man, are you SURE we aren't getting to the Finals this year? Wow.

If that's the case Danny should be blowing it up now. :o

We have no need whatsoever for a point guard in no way shape or form of existense in the vastness of the universe.
What we do have a need for after this season is a Center, and a Power Foward. Probably a shooting guard as well. Thats what cap space is going to and rightfully so.

How about KG, Rondo, and JO for Dwight, Turk, and Nelson?

That way we have out point guard.

Not a chance.

Seconded. And we shouldn't do it either without an extension.
