However, it's equally silly to say that he's done.  Clearly if he did it last night, he can still do it again.

would u like to make a friendly wage of 10 tps on this?  we can review at the end of the season.  i am fully prepared to eat crow and admit im wrong, if indeed i am wrong.  but i am confident he will do one of three things......

1. suck
2. get hurt
3. both

* i hope i am wrong and he can play sufficiently bc it will only help the team.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
He shut us all up last night for sure. If he can do that on a regular basis is yet to be seen, otherwise I'm sure he will be evaluated on a game-to-game basis until he proves he's back to form.

Doc needs to keep his time down along with the Big 3. Most with this group want to make noise in the Playoffs. Keep the team around 500 and take our chances. Out of the question is competing with Miami and such teams during the season. We have 2 older starters playing on a leg and a 1/2.

Shut us all up? I don't think so. Just proved the old saying that the sun does shine on a dogs __s once in a while!

 Look I don't hate on JO I mearly think that with Rondo as the starting point, Wilcox would be more productive as a starter.

 On the starting line up you have Paul pierce who gets his shots in the paint, Rondo driving the paint and KG has great court vision. I think Not having Oneal clogging the lane the other players would be more effective offensively.
 Plus Rondo would have one more option on the break wich would make R.Allen more of a threat on the break as they opponents would be forced to close out the paint sooner.
 Our rotations usually have Ray Allen playing for a while with the bench players. I believe having JO on the floor with Ray and the bench makes even more sense, in they would have to defend the floor from the rim to the locker room. Brandon bass would make a great PF to play with him, he cleans up misses well shoots the open jumper well and usually does not try to do things he cant do.

On the defensive end With starters like R.Allen and Paul pierce and even Rondo as he takes a few more chances with steals than I like, keep the pressure on our starting center.
 Now Wilcox doesn't strike fear on anyone in the league but he does move his feet and could keep some gaps from ever appearing to the Offensive team in the first place.

 I also think as a reserve that we could go to him more consistently as a scorer and get him more comfortable with the offense.

 I don't want to punish JO I just think it would make us a better team and improve our win percentage.

 On a side note it would be nice to see the new kid work his way to 15 or 20 min a game if he can stay out of foul trouble.

I expect that he keeps it up. With KG declining/pacing himself, I see no reason for JO to not have more games like this.

Lord knows we're going to need it. Those twin towers from LA looked very good a few hrs ago.

I'm not trying to look too far ahead here, but if LA gets through the west, and we get through the east, we're going to need every available big we can get.

JO looked very good in the two preseason games. He looked very bad at times in the regular season up until the Detroit game. The nice thing is that I think Doc will have more confidence in Steimsma and so if JO isn't playing well he can go to his bench quickly. At times we will get this JO, at times the other JO. More hit and miss than anything I think.

I don't know why all the focus is on JO.  The guy who is getting paid $20m and being outplayed by his backup (Bass) is KG.  KG went to the post a few times this season and looked very frustrated.  He can't beat his man anymore.  The interior D is not existent.  So when the D is good KG gets all the credit.  Yet when it's a wet paper bag nobody points to KG.  JO was never going to be the key to our season; as is the case the past 3 years it's going to be the big 3 and Rondo that need to produce for us.  JO is just a complimentary piece like  PJ Brown, Posey, BBD, TA, Sheed.

I'm here - he's an injury waiting to happen and if this team relies on him we're crazy.  Sure he had a good games against the "PISTONS" - who are they?  And how many more games will he play before he's injured and day to day for the year?

When reading on others posts throughout CB, I saw statements like 'He'll never have a good game.' So Celtic high 19 pts and 7 boards doesn't do it with bringing home a first win. Not to mention he looked young while setting picks for Ray and cutting for a bucket!

Lol Jermaine had one good game, come on.. Even Mark Blount, YES MARK BLOUNT had some huge games for us as;
Against Orlando Monday 3/1 2003-04 season. Statline;
28 Points 13-21 Shooting, 21 Rebounds, 3 Blocks.
This proves nothing. Jermaine is a scrub and thats it. Im actually more comfortable with Stiemsma on the floor. Jermaine seems to be in his own world at times..
Jack of all trades, master of none.

Mark Blount was actually a talented player, just lazy and play with no hustle.

Crazy ironic and not the first time I've had this happen. But in 2k12 the other day, I played the same game and JO was leading scorer with 19 and 7. Creepy
Can't stop, Rondo!

Hopefully Jermaine can face frontcourts as undersized/defensively incompetent as Detroit's more often.

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari

Mark Blount isn't always the best example, because nobody really questions his talent level.  Blount could have easily been a 15/8 level center in the NBA, I think.  However, he took the money, and settled for being mediocre (or worse).

JO, on the other hand, is a guy who seems to play with quite a bit of effort.  He just doesn't have the energy / athleticism anymore to be a consistent impact player.
