I love KG but his behavior today was inappropriate and could have escalated into a terrible situation.

How would you react if a Knick put his hand to the throat of a Celtic?  The same standard should apply to everyone.  Whats good for a Celtic is good for a Knick is good for a Laker or a Heat.

I've been a fan of KG since his 'Sota days and I agree that he should stop this nonsense.. If he's still putting up double-doubles I might forgive him but his game is slowly slipping.. Yes, basketball is a PHYSICAL game but he is playing in a PROFESSIONAL league! So I wish KG would start acting like one especially if this indeed is his last season.. And to think that he is supposed to be one of the veteran LEADERs of this team.. I want my idol Kevin Garnett to be remembered as a champion, a Celtic, one of the best PFs of all time, not as a PUNK!

I've watched KG play since his Timberwolves days and he's always been the same intense guy. That's who he is, he might be respected by some, but he's respected by a lot a former and present NBA players. Sure some of his antics on court are debatable, but he's an all-time great and one of the greatest PF of his generation.

Not any antics or anything else can take that away from Garnett or sway any chances of his Hall of Fame rep. It just can't happen I've seen athletes do less or worst and make it to the Hall of Fame. I'm not saying what he did was right, but r we surprised at this point of KG being a Celtic?

Nope. Players need to be themselves. Whether they get older or not. I never saw Bill Russell play, but judging from the kind of man he is today, it wouldn't surprise me if he was the nicest guy on the court.

However, just because he was getting old and losing skill he shouldn't change anything. Neither should KG.

Bill Walker has had run ins with Paul and Ray as well since he was traded out of Boston, and it's because he's bitter and constantly runs his mouth against us. Unlike those two KG decided to respond, there is nothing more to make of this.

If someone gets in his face like they did, he will react.
After all these years, his passion and ferocity is still at its best.
Bill Walker must have said something pretty bad for KG to react like that- but I like the passion on both sides.
This is what it's all about. A down to the wire season opener where the 'new' team beat their hated rivals.

He still held it down defensively- other than letting Chandler get a few easy looks. His legs were going in the end and he couldn't get much lift on the elbow jump shots but that will take 4-5 games.
He was always the first one to grab Rondo (or any team mate) off the floor when they were hit. He let every play know when he blocked them or altered their shot.

I wish KG would sit down with 95% of the NBA and have a talk with them to make this league more competitive.
He's a top 25 NBA player and he earns that ranking with his tenacity and heart, now that he's lost some of his physical ability.

You can't sit a guy like this down and change his ways after all this time-you gotta take the good with the bad, and people aren't perfect.

People hate KG because they wish they had someone on their team that had 50% of the heart and attitude that he has.

I thought the same too. I noticed last season, Walker had a little dust-up with Ray during the 2011 Playoffs. Walker clearly has some bitterness toward the Celtics. It's unusual to get into conflicts with former teammates.

Something is up with Walker? But I don't care about him or what happened with KG. These things happen and it's apart of sports.  I think some people on here are making much of nothing.

By league, nothing would happen. Maybe a fine. But Lebron is just too big to be choking people as he could actually hurt somebody. It wasn't a double choke by KG anyway. But as fans we see things the way we want to see them.

The point is, there would be a 20-page thread here with posters going nuts if Lebron did this to one of the Celtics. There is no place for crap like this in professional sports. It is total bush league.

Sums up my thoughts perfectly.  Couldn't be prouder as a fan to have KG on my favorite team.  There's a reason we've been a championship contender for the past 4 years, and it begins and ends with KG.  We'll have a great many seasons after he's gone to watch 'nice' players try and play basketball, enjoy a team of winners while you have the chance.
