BTW, the Nuggets are surprising everybody.  They look like a really good team, up there with Portland as surprising contenders for a top seed, despite not having Chandler, J.R. Smith, or Kenyon Martin.  Heck, they look better than they did with those guys.

Masai Ujiri should be in the running for Executive of the Year.

I mainly liked the Nuggets because their SB Nation blog is filled with some pretty fun and intelligent people.

Their squad actually performing better and better makes it all the more fun to join their game threads. Haven't had the opportunity to do that yet this season, but I'm sure I'll catch a bunch of 'm before the season ends.

Kinda sad / says a lot that it's necessary to go to blogs for other teams in order to find a fun game thread.  Just not fun times around here.

Ah, I've been doing that for ages m8. Even during 07/08 I was lurking around on all the SB Nation blogs of other teams.

As long as you don't gloat and show a real interest in teams even the worst fans will appreciate your contribution.

Heck, I troll SilverScreenandRoll.com all the time.

Respect for your adversaries goes a long way, even while you cussing at their 'main man'. Oh yes, it might not be allowed on CB, but SS&R is a bit more relaxed, and I get to unleash my naughty side - no better place to do so than on a Lakers blog :D

With all that's going on (or not going on) with the Celtics, can we at least agree we're happy that Miami have now lost three in a row?  ;D

Yes.  Although I'm not at all happy that the Lakers are back to the top of the Western Conference and Kobe is playing out of his mind despite having torn ligaments in his wrist.

One of the consolations I was hoping to have this season is that the Lakers were looking significantly diminished and dysfunctional as well.  Unfortunately, I think they're probably gonna stay in the hunt.

No Carmelo Anthony tonight. Bill Walker starts. Too bad.

That ruins a potential great matchup between Melo + Durant. Oh well.

Unlucky 2 point loss for Minnesota at Atlanta. Did really well to come back and Rubio's game tying 3 pointer should've forced OT.

kobe is a freak.. he plays hurt all the time. But without his constantly carrying the Lakers on his back..just like PP an KG use to do for us , LA wouldn't be winning many games either.  If Kobe gets hurt and can't play , they are finished . Thats why they needed CP3...they could still win if Kobe got hurt .

Chris Paul is so much better than Rondo. Wish that trade had happened .

If the season ended today, Kobe would be MVP. I guess he is one older guy who decided to stay in shape. He is going to end up with  40 plus again tonight. Wish the Celtic vets had the same attitude about staying in shape.

Kobe just put up 23 points, I believe, in the third quarter against the Clippers. Lakers won't win it all, but they clearly are still a contender.
