The tech on Pav was a joke. Then the foul on Marquis on a clear steal just sealed it. Crawford should have been canned by the NBA years ago.  First game back after a long lock out, and this is what we get. Nice Christmas present for the Knicks.

What a great player for the Knicks. I see him suiting up on the next big TV game.
Signed to a 6 year $0 contract with the Celtics Blog forum!

Does the NBA pay Joey Crawfrawd a bonus check everytime he officiates a Celtic game, and makes a key call against the Celtics to make them lose a game? Maybe thats why he just doesn't go away some where to die. I wonder how many cans of beer he downs before a game? How many cans of beer does he down during halftime. With 16 seconds to go and a tie game Marquis Daniels looked like he made a clean steal of a ball handled by a Knick player. Well this makes Crawfrawd blow the whistle and I believe it was Anthony who hit the 2 free throws, and the Celtics lost by 2 points. Again it lookedlike a clean hit by Daniels and should not have been called a foul. Well here we go again a NBA shortened season and more bad calls are in the offing. I had a feeling a week ago that Crawfraud was going to ref this game. I wonder why.

I don't mind losing to a better team but that just sucked. Can't wait until David Stern retires.

If you get on his bad side this is what happens. I wouldn't say he cost the C's the game but he alone killed Boston in the 4th.

Yes, you got it: Clean hit, all ball, no foul, but there's Joey, FT's, Knicks win by 2. Merry Christmas.

I missed most of the 3rd and some of the 4th because of my cable decided to lose signal so I switched to NBA.com.. but how and when the heck did Pavlovic get a tech? Isn't he usually a mime in most games?

I did see that bs call on Daniels though. Most officials try to swallow the whistle when it's below 2 minutes in the game because to be fair the game shouldn't rest on a call from an official.

Joey Crawford is not like most officials though, as we all know. It's sad.

He was part of the best run the Knicks had all night. Pavlovic gets elbowed & says "hey" & gets tech'd up! Ridiculous! Then the T on J.O. with his back towards the ref on the foul line who knows what that was about but after ref'ing for 20-25 years it seems you would have thicker skin & respect for a close game.

this loss left a bad taste in my mouth. the Refs definitely brought the Knicks back with their whistles..

and those 2 foul shots by anthony on that BS call on quis were what won the game

either way, im not too worried. we were without pierce and peitrus. if those 2 come back I think we beat the knicks

I can not CAN NOT stand Joey Crawford. This is a ref who sent Tim Duncan out for laughing on the bench and tries to be the [dang] star. I'm sorry for cursing and being angry, but even without Paul if Joey had stayed on point as a ref and not a star (which he isn't because no one pays or sits watching tv to see him) they may have won.

That Pav call was ridiculous but did anybody else feel like the refs did a decent job outside of that ego call? I thought it was a pretty well-officiated game. If anything, Celtics might have been the recipients of some help. Rondo and Ray got whistles pretty much any time they were tapped.

I wonder will he show up in a Knicks uniform at the next game or will he be cleverly disguised as a reff  >:(

They won by one basket without Pierce playing? lol elite team in my book. Officiating was ok until the last few minutes and I know their was a lot of tension but Sasha's T was the worst. Can't touch Melo, didn't you hear?
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
