Crawford loves to do this sort of thing, as others have said the Tim Duncan incident was the perfect example of how ridiculous Crawford can be at times.

It's Joey Crawford. What do you expect? Christmas day. Season opener at MSG. Of course he has to make sure he ends up being the big story. I only wish Paul had been there to break their hearts with another game winner and send Crawford home disappointed.

This is a big part of the reason I think Stern is not a good commissioner.   He lets guys like this continue to work.  The game felt like a WWE karafe at the end.

I just dont understand the Pavlo tech... Did he give him a tech for exagerrating contact/ minor "flopping" (even though Melo threw two bows at him)? Or did he say something...I dont understand.

Joey Crawford is one of the worst refs in the league, and always has been. Unfortunately there's absolutely nothing we or any other fan-base can do about it. The Celtics are not at the top of his "Favorites" list, but they are still a good enough team that they can overcome most of his negative affect on the game. He's a necessary evil we and the C's have to deal with, and it doesn't do much good to worry about it. If the Celtics make him an issue, it's their own fault, but they're generally above that for the most part.
