Celtics fans need to get away from this Chris Paul notion. We aren't getting him. We don't need him. We need West and health.

We have less to offer than the Lakers. Not sure how the league can allow CP3 to come to Boston.

Rondo is a young and talented All Star on a great contract. That's what a rebuilding team like the Hornets would need and why Stern nixed that ridiculous 3 way trade twice.

And he's marketable. I heard he has the 3rd best selling jersey in the league. Easier to sell a potential owner on Rondo, than it is Scola and Martin.

Only if they have a sudden change of heart on trading Gordon.

I wonder if the Bledsoe injury effects their offer?

You say we don't need him, I say we do need him to win a title this year.

CP3's shooting ability does WONDERS for our offense. Gives Ray Allen more shooting room, allows Pierce more space to create, just creates more spacing all around. Something Rondo can't do.

Danny needs to go all out now.

A player is available that can make the team better and the team has pieces that could be attractive to get him.  Oh, and the team has already made offers to get him.

Why should we not think about this?

I thought I heard that the Clippers were unwilling to part with Eric Gordon, so unless they reversed that stance why would they be the favorites? Reports were saying that Boston had surpassed the Clippers and the Warriors as favorites to land CP3 before the Lakers butted in and made this huge mess.

Because he's a 7 month rental and we need to build around Rondo next year.

I think the LA deal falling through could reset some things.

Especially if they pull of the Howard trade.

Or gives Boston the inside track to resign a player you can actually build around.

I wonder if that New York rumour from the other day comes alive.

Knicks to offer Amare for CP3 ??

this could be a real possibility.

paul, anthony, and chandler.....yikes!

and you know what i just realized.  these are their last names, while they are normally first names

if there is one thing i learned, never trust a man with two first names

Well this makes me sad :(

- James Michael Wade

Ahh....its all good...middle names don't count  ;)

Just kidding anyways

Why should we assume that CP3 would be a short-term rental now that the make-up of this scenario has changed so drastically? It's common knowledge that the Celtics will have cap space to work with next season so if you can take a recipe that almost worked in New Orleans and tweak it, why not give it a shot? Not to mention that Monty Williams is a disciple of Doc Rivers.

It appears that the NBA doesn't want their team, the Hornets, to be loaded with old guys with bad salaries. They seem to prefer small contracts, and younger players. Its not difficult to understand, whether its smart or not is another matter

Lakers will get the Mavs' first-round pick in 2012, maybe a second-rounder as well
