This is just another reason why we need to focus on the david west deal 1st.  If that deal is a success, we're good no matter what, but it also gives us a player that CP3 has said is "like a brother to him" on our team (and might make him rethink how fast our window is closing).

Honestly, bring in West, sign a body to eat some minutes at center, keep Rondo and go forward.  You're a contender with that that team and your PG won't be skipping town next summer.

Don't see what's wrong with that.....

We have less to offer than the Lakers. Not sure how the league can allow CP3 to come to Boston.

Just to throw it out there, Rondo/Bradley/JO/Vet minimum should be enough to take back Paul and West.
CP's 16+M and West's proposed 9M per is 25M.

We no longer can trade Green now that he's signed, and Rondo/Bradley/JO/Vet won't be enough to snag them both, unfortunately.  Plus, that's a craap package compared to what the league just said was insufficient.

Yes but it might be the best deal available to the NOH. The NBA really can't let Paul walk at the end of the year and get nothing so they better take the best available offer.

Im pretty sure the Celtics can still trade Jeff Green since he is on a one year deal. He would have to consent and lose his Bird rights.

Yeah......in 90 days.

Is it still 3 months? I was thinking it changed in this new CBA.

I don't understand the Odom trade though. What's Dallas' motive? They let Chandler and Butler walk away to preserve cap space in 2012 and will most likely lose Barea too...and now they are going to acquire Odom who still has 2 years left on his contract.

Rondo is a young and talented All Star on a great contract. That's what a rebuilding team like the Hornets would need and why Stern nixed that ridiculous 3 way trade twice.

Odom is only guaranteed for $2mil or so next season.

Cuban is trying to prevent the Nets from getting Howard so the can snag Deron after this year.
