Gotta think it will get vetoed because the owners don't want that pairing to happen right after the lockout.
Either Stern caves to public distaste for his veto or he holds his ground and forces real changes to the deal. Right now all the tweaks aren't meaningful.

Please veto this [dang] trade.

What a farce. NBA sucks.

Meh I wasn't a fan of the veto but backtracking now will look worse IMO.

Ouch, that's a pity.

I would've liked to have seen P.Patterson alongside a highly skilled five like P.Gasol. Fun combo.

Casual fans will forget all about the veto when CP3 is throwing alley-oops to D12.  That's Stern's end game.

If the Rockets give up more players in the deal then they deserve Chris Paul. I know that's crazy, it's the NBA... it's the way the three-team deal works... but it just sounds weird to me.

If someone needs to break a five and "Greg" gives a dollar and "Fred" gives four, does it sound right if "Greg" gets the full five in return?

CP3 throwing alley-oops to D12 against LeBron and Wade in the Finals for the next 5 years.

Yay!  The NBA is so great!

I hope and pray that NJ finds a way to land Howard, and then Nene decides to take the offer from NJ to sign there.  Depending upon how a D12 trade is structured, they could have enough money to offer a big deal (although not $70 million).

I want to see both LA and Houston miss out.

So the issue was Houston not giving up enough? Give me a break. ::) ::)

The NBA where the League gives the Lakers gifts and screws over the 29 other teams.
