When was the last time Stern vetoed a trade? And on what grounds? NOH's return is not bad. But I would like someone to conduct a breathalyzer on Morey.

This is a special situation.  Each of those owners are 1/29th owners of the Hornets.

It sounds like they don't want Paul traded at all.  They might want him on the roster to sell the team.

It would be awesome if it fell through.

I feel like in the movie Hangover when they wake up in the morning asking "what the bleep is going on?"

This is just madness!

One source close to the three-team Chris Paul trade talks just told http://ESPN.com: "The deal is off."

@ESPSteinLine

If the owners had any stones they would have pushed that fossil off the cliff 15 years ago before he made the NBA into a laughingstock that half of the public associates with thug life.

It's not entirely fair, but perception is reality and the fish rots from the head. Stern has run the league like he invented it in 1988 and hasn't had an original idea since then.

let them at least cp3 would still be avaiable, but then again stern will probably send him to nyk for turiaf and filler instead of accepting rondo package ::)

I guess the rest of the league isn't happy about this.

According to reports, Otis Smith is not taking any calls on Dwight Howard. They want him to play out this season.

They won't dare do anything to upset the league's meal ticket.

Saying the trade might be cancelled is just a cruel joke to try and further the agony.

Why not, it worked out great for Cleveland 2 years ago.
