I really don't see how this makes the Knicks that much better of a team. Chandler is a great defensive presence but does he make the Knicks that much better than having the leadership, ball handling, and floor general ability of a Billups or the toughness that having a guy like Turiaf brings?
Also, doesn't it seem like this team should be being coached by a man that believes in half court offense and tough defense and not up tempo transition offense and no defense.
Grant Hill is rumored to being brought aboard to play in the starting SG position and have Landry Fields come off the bench. Well, Hill and Fields are both wing players, Melo is born SF, Amare the PF and Tyson is the center. Is Douglas and Shumpert going to be asked to run the point in D'Antoni's run and gun style offense?
This personnel looks like it is more suited to something Phil Jackson should be coaching where Hill or Melo is the point forward and there doesn't necessarily have to be a strong PG.
