When did the rumor that Chris Paul isn't a good defender start?  CP3 has been All-Defense three times.  He's maybe not quite as good as Rondo, but he's close.  I hear a lot of people disparage Paul's defense, and it puzzles me.

I want Paul hear regardless of whether we land Howard.  However, I don't think he'll sign an extension unless there's a reasonable assurance that we'll be adding some big name pieces.

I don't think he is a bad defender...i just think Rondo is other-worldy defensively.  He changes games with his defense - CP doesn't (at least from my perspective).  If Paul changes the game, he does it with his offense.  That's all.

People are all over the map with player's defense, think of how often people scream that Rondo is a bad defender because good defenders just keep their man between their knees.

Which of course they could do against NBA level athletes, just like they can hit 80% of their free throws after playing 37 mpg so why can't Rondo?  ;)

sounds like ainge is doing his best to give us a shot at competing moving forward, trying to trade for a guy like cp3.  but with cp3 basically having veto power over trades, it seems most likely he'll end up in LA or NY.

basically, be prepared to cheer for the Nets against the Knicks in the Atlantic division for the next few years.

Look at the front page of celticsblog. CP3 wont sign an extension with the C's so it wont happen anyways.

I personally think that's a good thing.

If he did shoot down the idea of an extension like they say and Rajon remains, this totally adds fuel to the fire for their next showdown. Watching that game.

Sounds to me like CP3 doesn't want to win and just wants to go to New York and hang out with his buddy Carmelo.

Is it Danny's reputation catching up to him, he's turning on Rondo shopping him if I sign will they trade me too down the line? No thanks?

Having slept on the idea of Rondo possibly being traded, I thought to myself if it makes the team better in the long run then I am open to all Trade scenarios

I trust Danny to make smart moves for this Franchise + I have my full support in Doc Rivers, weather Rondo is here long term or not who knows? But Im sure Ainge knows what he is doing

Since when have the LA Clippers become a desirable location and the greatest team in NBA history undesirable?

Wouldn't it be nice if these guys just wanted to play basketball?

I'm not quite so sure about that with Mike D' Antoni as there head coach.... I think a lot of players underate how good of a coach Doc is.
