I am posting a draft version of the league constitution. This reflects standard operating procedure since the beginning of the league, but there are some new items thrown in that I would like people to either ratify or offer alternatives to.

Also, there may be some things not addressed in the constitution that should be. I've allowed comments in the Google doc.

We are still looking at a rookie draft during the week of Sept 3, most likely the Wed or Thurs of that week.

I'm about to start a 3-week vacation, so I can't swear I'll be responding to emails/PMs that promptly, but I'll do what I can.

Only thing I see on my first, quick read through (in a while  ) is:

24. Trades must be confirmed via PM or email by both parties to Lucky17, both during the offseason (when Yahoo! league pages are unavailable) and during the season.

Is there any reason to have in-season trades done through the commish?

I suspect this is a typo. I'd imagine it should instead read:

24. Trades during the offseason (or when Yahoo! league pages are otherwise unavailable) must be confirmed via PM or email by both parties to Lucky17.

I also want to have some documentation in the form of email/PMs that we can look back on for record keeping.

Also, PMs are more explicit/clear if picks (protected or otherwise) are involved.

I didn't see anything pertaining to the tanking rules. I could have missed that but it seems like the perfect place to document the penalties, etc...

This would be a great time to address tanking, and penalties for it.

I should add in the standard procedures we've been using, based on unused games played x league average scores per game. I'll do that when I can.
