Happy to get Speights on my roster,  I feel like he has been a "potential guy" for years now.  Hopefully this is the year he breaks out.  I think Tyler is a wild card - he could be a solid player or a total bust.  We shall see...

Gay plus a 1st in a deep draft is a steep price for Josh Smith, although Smith is a great player.

Happy to get Speights on my roster,  I feel like he has been a "potential guy" for years now.  Hopefully this is the year he breaks out.  I think Tyler is a wild card - he could be a solid player or a total bust.  We shall see...

I hate giving up Speights, I held on to him through many offers and have high hopes for him, he's a young F/C who can score so easily. If he can stay on the floor long enough he can put up numbers. Tyler is a gamble either way, but big men with potential are hard to come by. I love getting Humphries though, he's really come into his own and can average a double-double for years to come, and hopefully the 2nd rounder in a deeper draft will be a wash with Tyler.

I agree that it COULD be a steep price to pay.  I have been after Smith for a while a feel he is really going to shine this season as he is going to be playing for a contract after next year.  I really like Gay and hate to lose him - especially since he hasn't played even one game for MMSB, but I think it is a worthwhile deal to get a player like J-Smoove.

The hope is that I will be fighting for a title in this league this season (if it ever commences) and the pick will be about 20th anyway :-) Even in a deep draft, chances are that won't be an all-star player.

This is a deal that really could go either way.  Speights could finally get solid mins and be a stud, Humphries could continue doing what he did all last season - or they could both end up sitting the bench.  Humphries may be crazy or perfectly sane after this whole Kardashian thing...all I know is that MMSB doesn't need that drama...
